- I found installing my new VQ Vortex carbon fiber steering wheel into my Nissan 370Z extremely easy.
Tools needed:
-T30 tamper proof torx bit

-Small flat head screwdriver
-19mm socket
-extension for socket
-socket wrench

@@AGeekyGuy did you have any issues with the ordering process with VQvortex? I ordered my wheel almost 11 weeks ago and they have been almost impossible to get ahold of.
@@luisr616 I was told orders can take some time with them but I got lucky and they had ordered two of the same wheel I wanted from their supplier by mistake. When I placed my order the next day they had two so mine shipped to me the next day. Talk about luck!!! Importing parts takes a LONG time. Darn customs!

Where did you get all the carbon fiber bits from? I saw it on the shifter plastic covering, door trim for the switches, Gauge pods, Cluster, where is this available? And are they reasonably priced. Also nice addition of the R35 start button

My car has the wine color seats and i want to custom made a carbon fiber and wine color leather wheel with matching shift knob
Ok I need to ask what floor mats are those and do you have a link ?
I feel like a new steering wheel and shift knob (auto or manual) could make the Z look so much better especially because they seem to get dirty and worn very very easily.
The stock auto shift know is extremely ugly and they stock wheel does show wear quickly. That is one of the reasons I upgraded to a Carbon Fiber GTR shift knob and Carbon Fiber steering wheel. It makes the interior look so much better!
@@AGeekyGuy Ive never seen that shift knob before. Whats the fitment like and is it completely functional with everything? Ive seen some people swap the AT Shift knobs and its all wonky.
@@ThatsNotVeryFunnyLol search RUclips for install GTR shift knob in a 370z. It’s honestly an almost direct fitment and works perfect. You just need to shorten the shifter to make it look good.
I always wondered what does it mean when these cars have a red push to start button? Also do you know how to remove the emblem on the front of the steering wheel?
spinxtercell there are a lot of aftermarket options for push start buttons. I know fast intentions sells a red one with their emblem on it. It doesn’t do anything but start the car and is purely cosmetic. I’ve never thought to remove the Z but guessing it is held on bye push pins/clips on the inside of the larger piece that also holds the airbag.
@@AGeekyGuy Reason being the one I'm buying happens to have an ugly Nissan badge on it.
@@spinxtercell Interesting, can't say I've ever seen a steering wheel with a Nissan badge on it. I thought they all came with the Z on it.
@@AGeekyGuy My guess is the bag was deployed in a crash and that's what the Nissan dealership had to replace it. Weird for sure.
spinxtercell ah, so I am now guessing that maybe it’s from a Nissan Maxima and instead of replacing just the air bag they swapped the entire thing but not sure.

I was looking how to remove the cruise control buttons on the rite and the up and down selector on the left for hydro dipping/ Painting, and came across this video , still haven't found a video yet how to do it
@@NOFACEZ I just realized, if you are referring to “Carbon Fiber Instrument Bezel-Tacho Front Cover”, I found it on eBay. Pretty sure when you pull off that entire airbag piece, on the backside there are screws or clips that hold those controls in place.

@@NOFACEZ it was YEARS ago, I use to occasionally do a Google search for 370z carbon fiber and just scroll through links for hours while at work with nothing to do. Unfortunately, I don’t have that same free time. The link to my purchase = page not available. I’m not seeing it when I do a search. It’s not an overlay but actually replaces the tach plastic.
All that carbon it’s starting to look a little tacky what’s next carbon fiber side mirrors or neon lights never mind
Yet my Z has been on TV, at invite only shows, in magazine, shared by top social media accounts to include featured on ECUTEK’s website, tons of trophies but, not everyone’s taste is the same. Thanks for the negativity! Just remember, that you usually get what you give out.
