could be old fuel (gasoline). if your scooter been sitting for a few months then try putting new gasoline. mine works great after putting about 1/2 gallon into the tank. if your tank is full then take some out to replace with fresh fuel. good luck.
Is there any key/immobiliser problem that would mean the master key would stop working at all? Mine lights the control panel, but won’t start the engine.

Thought, I have a Piaggio X9 500, 2002 model, and the the problem I have is that when I turn on the key, the lights on the digital dashboard do not flash as the normally would as the bike checks out. Sometimes everything is just fine, but other days the "code light" won't go off, thus not allowing the Vespa to strat. So I imagine I must have a problem with the immobilizer or antenna or whatever... I have already had the keys (both) reprogrammed but it still doesn't start sometimes! Any help on this? Thanks!

My 2024 Vespa GTS (has 3 weeks and 320 miles on it) stopped today in the middle of the road while splitting lanes. It wouldn't start, cranks, but the engine does not start. Going through all the connectors in the engine bay, found that coil (!!!) slipped off the sparkplug (!!!) completely (!!!). I didn't even know such thing was possible, but there you go, yet another reason it wouldn't start. I don't know whether it was loose before or what caused it to slip, but I was just riding it on the streets, some bumps, but nothing extraordinary.

vespa 2020 sprint primerervera 50t was in flood just up to the battery location.. i replaced battery all the lights come one fuel pump primes it self but wont start or turn over .. i think th e starter relay is dead or starter is gone where is the starter relay located at can you help me out
Is it possible to have a faulty immobiliser reader, I got mine started and running the next day it wouldn't crank over. I took the key out and put it back in and it cranked for a second then stopped. Does this sound like the immobiliser reader is dodgy, it seems to be the reade/antenna. can i buy new readers without having them to be codded?

The other question - I bought the LED turn signal lit kits from you guys a couple years ago and installed it. Could they have any relation to the intermittent starting issue? It didn't start doing that until after I installed the lighting kit. I don't see how but who knows.

I got the issue that the starter most of the time won't crank over correctly just stalling after a few degrees turnover of the crank. Battery and switches are fine, and I heard it could be the DECO-Unit not working correctly which makes sense to me, but I haven't found a video explaining how to check.

I have the same problem. In first try i cant hear the sound of cranking and the engine does not start. Maybe in 2nd try too. I turn the key again and open it again then I hear the sound and engine starts perfectly.
I went to start the ignition and it wouldn’t start, Turned over twice during which the display would blitz like the electronics were blowing up. Trailered it to my local shop and he started out doing things before trying to recreate the problem. Then, he couldn’t recreate it. It’s running but I don’t ride far in case breaks down. Any suggestions?

HELP! My 2012 LX50 4T 4V stopped idling, I replaced spark plug and cleaned the carb and it got worse. So far I have So I started NEW Battery NEW spark plug (correct NGK and correctly gapped to around 0.55mm) NEW air filter NEW Complete OEM carburetor (came with a new cold start electric choke) NEW Fuel pump and filter (Pedcock) NEW fuel and vacuum line NEW intake hose from carb to head Checked the valve clearance and its in spec I do get spark. NEW Malossi CDI and nothing changed. it has fuel :D it cranks and cranks but does not fire up... the The brake lights work, but headlight and tail-light do not come on when switched to start, not sure if that is an issue for an LX50 I am completely lost.. help much appreciated
So what was actually wrong with the scooter then..?? Brake switches like you said earlier..?? You could have closed it out by changing one and let us see it crank over. Love your channel though..!!
Hi people, I bought a Piaggio Liberty 125cc 2016 recently with an ignition fault thinking it would be an easy fix. The seller stated the bike runs but in the rain it boggs out and doesnt start again untill the next morning. I started by stripping the bike down to the chasis to inspect the wiring loom and only noticed a strange change of voltage at the starter switch from 13v to 0.56v. At first i thought it was due to me moving the wires but i couldnt replicate the fault. I then followed up by doing ground checks at the chasis earth points and around the loom but nothing unusual noticed. Also i did a voltage drop test at the suspicious starter switch circuit underload but again everything seemed fine. I suspect the immobiliser/ecu cutting power to the starter relay but i want to be 100% sure before buying parts. When i disconect the battery an try to run the bike the next morning the bike starts but very sluggish and it tries to shut off but as i give it throttle and when it warms up the bike stays on running. Now if i swytch the ignition key off and try to start again i get nothing no crank no start... Any idea what this could be anyone, i would appriciate it alot. The wiring diagram that ive used is for a previous model and most things are very accurate accept i dont see a kill switch, fuel pump as i want to know if the imobiliser preventing fuel and various other wires missing on ignition swith and more.. like i said once it warms up the bike wont turn off so its strange Thank you
I own a Vespa GTS300 Super not Supertech! The reason I did not go for the Supertech is; I previously owned an RA TG300 and the Speedometer went berserk! So when I took that Scooter back for a Refund, I bought a GTS300! No problems until 1200 miles later the Fuel gauge has a Malfunction! The Fuel gauge being Digital? It is being done under the Warranty - just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this?
So - I just bought Vespa GTS300 Super Sport - 1st day home couldn't get it to start... did most of the things mentioned here... turned out to be... You can't start if the side stand is out!!!! doh!! nobody said. 😞

What about checking the starter relay too? I had that issue with a new 6giorni , replaced the part and problem solved.

My bv 350 oil light and check engine light came on and stays on. Won’t start, it’s been running fine! Oil is perfect can’t figure out the issue.
