Jeopardy! 2nd Edition (PS1) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

- A playthrough of Hasbro Interactive's 2000 game-show game for the Sony PlayStation, Jeopardy! 2nd Edition.
Played through an "episode" of the game against two CPU opponents on the default difficulty settings.
After the game is over, I included all of the game's bonus interview videos (with the people the create the show) after the game ends (36:27).
I wasn't feeling quite as creative with the naming screen as I was in my playthrough of the first PS1 Jeopardy! game (when I did a drawing of Megaman for my name), so I opted for a lame, easy way out by drawing a kanji. It says Ninja in Japanese. Lame, but it's the same kanji as is in the Ninja Gaiden logo, if you like geeky details like that.
Anyways, it's no better or worse than the original one. It's pretty much the same game, except the FMVs have been updated and the questions are of course new. Otherwise, the first game nailed the presentation and the flow of the gameplay, and this one doesn't change that at all. It's Jeopardy! as well done as it ever has been for a console (well... I might put it second behind the NES version!), and it's got a nice, shiny, high budget gloss. Woot!

35:57 ALEX TREBEK: Thank you so much for playing Jeopardy. Bye for now.
ME: Bye, Alex...forever. 😢😢
ALEX TREBEK 1940-2020
😢
It's eerily empty, like the game is happening in a pocket dimension rather than a television studio. "Can you escape the Jeopardy Zone? Defeat me and claim my mustache!"
Perhaps it's the Fifth Dimension that Alex Trebek is sent back to when you say his name backwards?
@@jeffcotten1081You mean Kebert Xela?
@@Jaren929 Yes. 🤣
i used to play this with my mom, we had so much fun with this, we played it so much we found a goof, a few of the questions with picture are flipped with other questions answers and we laughed our asses off, she passed late 2018, i miss her vary much, just remembering the good time we had with this game both makes me sad and helps.
sorry to hear that hun. please be strong 😭😭😭
Thanks for sharing this sweet memory!
In Loving Memory Of
Alex Trebek
(born: July 22, 1940 - died: November 8, 2020)
We love you Alex
The loading screen picture of Trebek kills me
What is there to say? Artech knows how to make a game based on a game show, and this is just as faithful and polished as any of their other adaptations. Highly recommended for fans of the show!
NintendoComplete can't believe you played this game badass.
NintendoComplete Really wish they would make one for the PS4.
Lonnie Dearing me too and Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud or even The Price is Right
And future contestants.
20:25, 21:27 You can definitely tell from this graphic that this game was made before March 1, 2002. On that date, Germany and Italy ditched the Mark and Lira in favor of the Euro.
RIP Alex Trebek your a great man. You will forever be missed.😥😢
No more you pal amen
Insert joke from SNL Celebrity Jeopardy here.
Third death anniversary of Alex Trebek
This is one version of Jeopardy I plan on getting, the other being Junior Edition on NES and Teen Tournament on Game Boy.
*"Badass" LOL **2:50*
Seems we got a James Holzhauer here. Well done.
More like Ken Jennings, with that kind of Final score at the end.
@@chrisfinch8637 Him too.
The 2003 Jeopardy! on PS2 is essentially the same game. Same Artech logo, same Johnny Gilbert clips, just updated graphics/FMV clips and questions.
Yeah, I have now the PS2 and the PC game. The PC game that I just got was at the garage sale that my mom and Gage (my brother) went to.
@@Jaren929 I only had the PS2 version
42:10, More likely they'd get hysterical if there was a car inside that refrigerator, or if there was just a car in general, they'd jump up and down on stage regardless.
Typing sounds like the wheel of fortune ding pitch & the audience clapping sounds the same as Wheel of fortune 2/deluxe.
Vincent Donofrio...haha, that's what I would have said too!
Is it just me or does the UI look worse here than in the first edition?
''This Don Ju-an poet....'' >
X'D
3:42 why would any student ask for this?
