This guy so deserves his own movie and I’ve got no idea why no one has made one yet.

Because most movies are made in Hollywood and we all know what reputation the French Army has in the US. Producer know perfectly that this wouldn't sell in their domestic market unless they give it the "Last Samurai" treatment first (the movie is based on what historically happened to a French officer, not an American one).

@@josepsamarrafarre Also, if his life was put into a movie, it's likely the US audience would just claim that movie was plagiarizing Captain America. A short, ill-fitted soldier, that end up as a true hero, capturing enemies left and right...

@@daedalron plus, they might "lessen" his deeds and actions, so as to make it more believable, like they did with Desmond Doss. Although, in the case of Hacksaw Ridge, the crew themself pointed this out and it led to people actually searching up info themselves, myself and several of my friends went through this, so if made correctly and faithfully, it could be done well.

Yeah the music video for this song is so cursed and doesn’t do this story justice

For a Krieger, he was a good battle brother for the Imperium.

i too have heard that Cap was based on Roche from people i would trust to know what they are talking about

Excellent reaction. The parallels between Roche and Audie Murphy are amazing. Both had less than wonderful childhoods on farms, were rejected by the military authorities as too small, performed individual action of incredible bravery, were awarded multiple medals for bravery, and died far too young, Murphy at 45 in an airplane crash and Roche at 44. I think you could make a movie about almost any Sabaton song, so why doesn't it happen? All I can think is that the entertainment industry is far too inbred and tied to comic book stupidity and just remaking the same movies over and over.

Funny how they said the chasseurs were basically the same as German jägers, well, yeah genius😂 chasseur means hunter, and jäger means hunter, it's the same word, different language.
