Thank you for the idea have just made 2 for my nieces who have just got engaged only problem I used reclaimed timber from another project that was cherry so i thought the plank i had left was also cherry but when i got the paint of it was pine so ended up staining one half dark oak and the other with danish oil to get two contraced halfs.Has if two hearts make one. Will try to send you a photo when finished tomorrow . thanks again.
Nice new scroll saw it looks like it works very good. Great project and how come you did not make a video on the natural edge bandsaw box as seen in the beginning and end of the video? Great project and well done!!
Really looks great! I see you use an elektric fretsaw to cut the heart in two pieces. I don't have an fretsaw but I would like to make the heart in your video. Can you recommend an other tool that does the work? And when I print the pattern from your description, the cirkels for the glass aren't 45 mm but 38 mm. Therefore I think the heart I printed is to small. Is there an way I can resize the pattern so it looks like your pattern?
***** Thank you! If you don't have a scroll saw you can try to use a fretsaw or maybe a coping saw and a little elbow grease. If you use a softwood it should be possible without power tools. I don't think a jig saw or a bandsaw would work because of the tight corners of the zig zag. When I print the pattern the circles are 40mm and the diameter of the heart is about 15cm. Just make the circle so that it fits the size of your candle. If you use Adobe Reader to open the pdf you should be able to scale or resize printed pages.
Thanks for that information , I have subscribed to your channel and love the work you do keep up the great videos . I am a disabled vet and started doing scroll saw as a therapy for my PTSD and it really helps as you have to concentrate on your work and it blocks everything else out .
Wrong blade or you're pushing to hard. Let the blade to the work don't force it. Up to 1/2 Inch you can get by with a no 3 blade. If the wood it thicker you might want to use a no 5 or no 7 blade.
Very nice project & video! Thank you for the template!
+takis kail You're welcome :)

Your shop must have nice cedar smell after this project

Hi. where can I find the drill bit?? the size is 38 mm??... or the candles.. where did you find them?.. whats the size too?
In this case I used normal 38mm tea lights with a 45mm glass insert and a 45mm forstner bit. I believe you can find everything on ebay.
die Holzart ist "Aromatic Red Cedar". Zum Danish Oil habe ich vor einiger Zeit hier ein Video gemacht:

thanks, it's Red Cedar
How thick of wood did you use for the broken heart ? I am thinking of trying it for my wife and daughters .
I can't remember, maybe 1 inch. Make it thick enough so that the candles fit.

*****
thx! : D
muchas gracias muy bonito
What blade are you using to be able to zig zag like that?
I use Niqua blades (Flying Dutchman blades) most of the time a No 3.
Fabian's Tiny Workshop is that the spiral blade? Do you like it better than the regular blades? Is it easier to cut with?
No I don't use spiral blades. Cutting with spiral blades is a pain in the a..... ;-)
My wood bounces all over the place. Is it because my blade isn’t right for the type of wood I’m using? I use luan a lot
