Jeez this reminds me of the cadence calls we used to sing in the US Army. "They say at Fort McClellan, the women are mighty fine. But how the hell would we know, we gotta be in by nine. At Fort Mcleeeeeeeeeealan, at Fort Mcleeeeeeeeeeelan." For those unfamiliar, such marching formations and cadences are very helpful. The marching formation because it is the most efficient way to transport a large number of soldiers from one place to another. Otherwise it would be a mob. The song, the "cadence call" as it is now called, is also greatly helpful. As a soldier you focus on the song. And you keep moving. And with that song, everyone is together. Everyone is going to the same place together. Even the exclamations in the song are the same. RUclips doesn't like links in comments. But if you search for "best army cadences," you'll see how similar modern cadence calls are to the ancient ones. And I love them... they are like singing the blues!
In real life yes they Did. More Banners and stands on each cohort and every legion had its famous music piece unit of ancient instruments. As for the unique cohort symbol on stands on banners. There is a history Mod showing that though but I had not included in that video cause was not compatible with new Roman faces addon. Thanks for watching and placing a mice comment friend :)
also every legionaire would carry a big pilum and a smaller one plus a stick that was to be used as a defense spike when they made camp on those sticks / pilums would ber hanging the legionaires kit basicly everything he needed to live

Thank you for sharing this comment.
That was Romano. Beautiful
The Romans did not speak or sing like that. That is ecclesiastical Latin and it should be classical Latin.
Excuse me for being a party pooper
