Such great and cool ideas. Was looking for something like this for my toddler for so long, to cut down his screen-time. Thanks a ton, again what an amazing video !! Keep up the good work.
You're amazing! Thank you for all these incredible and simple games. It's so helpful! I've been out of ideas last couple of months and my toddler doesn't like to play with toys anymore. We'll be trying a bunch of your games!
Am I the only one worried about the toddler/baby vs. Beans and lentils combination 😅😅? Aspiration is not funny at all. The other things are really nice.
Anything can be a hazard if you’re not supervising your kid. I use a lot of “choking hazards” with my toddler but only when I’m actively engaged with her.
@@Meganmamaeven if your right there they can still choke on something so small. They are very quick and can be sneaky about it. God forbid you should look away for a second.
Your voice is so calming and engaging at the same time. You definitely sound like a little kid educator. All the activities looked really interesting and fun! Thanks for sharing!
As a behavior therapist, I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH! These ideas are spectacular- so creative, fun, engaging- they have already helped my sessions so much! Absolutely brilliant video and wonderful engaging & educational ideas 😊 Thank you so much for enriching the lives of the kids I’m blessed to work with- and making the process so much more fun (for me and them!)
I am shocked that this little toddler is sitting with a pan Hatfield with water simply on a towel on carpet all things like I cannot even imagine doing that with my 15 almost 16 month old son and even at 18 to 20 months there’s no way we’re gonna be able to do that that whole pan of water would be in the carpet within 15 seconds max
I'm a Nana and my Grandson has just turned 1. I'm going to stay for a few days with my family and forgotten a lot of what i used to do with my little ones that was inexpensive lol. I actually have some decorting tape here and never thought to use that as an fun way to play and learn. Lots of great ideas. Thank you
This is the best video of its type on RUclips! THANK YOU for so many straightforward, easy to set up and educational activities. This is exactly what I was looking for today!
I watched this video about a month ago and today i needed some activities, and remembered some of these ideas, quickly put them together and thought i need to watch this video again and save it on a playlist. Love the diy nature of the things, coz we tend so easily to just buy the activities, but i want to foster creativity in my little one and believe that showing her we can make things is a good way to model creativity
My kids are all grown up, and I still found this REALLY interesting. I like to keep little toys/activities in my purse/car, for when I know that I might run into a hectic mom with a child needing distraction, like at the doctors office, or a restaurant. I am looking forward to doing smaller versions of your ideas. And someday, I WILL have grandkids!(hopefully 😊) Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thank you for sharing all the good activities. I love them all ❤️. One question: where did you get the silicone ice maker at 18:04 in the video from? I really need something like that, but I couldn't find it.
My son would destroy that blue tape, rip it right off and go in that room and find something else that HE wants to do 😩 But I love all these ideas and will be trying them! Thank you mama! 💞
Thank you so much for this video. I would appreciate if you please add some more video on sensory activities and motor activities . Love the way you explained everything.
Definitely supervise all activities, and for any choking hazard depending on age, i always recommend to sub out pieces for edible or larger items, so swap pom Poms for cheerios or Popsicle sticks or something!
It depends on the child My baby has never put anything in her mouth except to suck on it when she was younger because she had terrible reflux she could even have cough drops and suckers and she just takes a long time to swallow even water she holds it in her mouth because she has a little reflux. She's an incredibly smart child and she could do this before she was a year old so that's just if you have a kid that puts everything in their mouth and tries to swallow it my child isn't like that
Thankfully my bathroom is small and I can keep it clean. I clean it everyday ( I know it’s still not fully disinfected) but when I go to the bathroom I take my daughter. The whole time I’m on the toilet she’s watching her hands ( I know I should consider water waste but better than leaving her alone) or playing with her bath toys
@@Angelface11just because she’s never done it yet doesn’t mean she wouldn’t. Probably shouldn’t risk your child’s life because “MY baby isn’t like all these other stupid babies who put things in their mouth”
Amazing ideas, thanks for sharing!! Though there is no chance that my toddler wont try stuffing a handful of raw rice in his mouth if I give him the chance, so anything involving rice is out.
I agree i like the pom pom idea but in yhe car and if in bathroom it is a choking hazard! Defintely full supervision. Thanks for all these sctivities, so fun
I love this stuff. Instead of the Dinos , or also, i would get farm animals they could learn vocab and maybe go and see them for real, and also the wild animals . Thank you .
Love to see mamas doing things with their babies!! My kids never did the rice thing but they LOVED the sandbox, which is a similar experience. And they spent hours with playdough. They really love sensory things.
These ideas are amazing! Wish I knew about them when my kids were little! Sooo, now maybe I can use some of them when I have my grand baby over when they get to be a toddler. ❤
I absolutely love those ideas. My baby is still 6 months old, but I will save this video and try those activities in the future. I'm sure she will love it ❤. Thank you for this insightful content 👏
Please don’t be discouraged, babies need lots of attention n learn from their caregiver, it’s super important to start talking n play learning from day 1 for their healthy development. Baby’s brain grows at such a rapid rate their first year n by age 5yrs is when it slows down. So please take advantage of the short window we are given! Just have to keep them focused, which means lots of patience n quiet one-on-one time with their caregiver. These activities helps them learn n ready for school environment which typically starts by age 4-5 yrs. Best to you n your little ones. ❤
I’m convinced we need a whole new set of activities for boys. All these worked with my girls. I have zero luck getting my 2 year old to sit. He wants to move and get into everything that I haven’t set out for him. He’s incredibly smart and speaks like a 4 year old child so it’s not developmental. Girls are so much more interested in quiet activities. At least in my experience. His new thing is sitting on his sisters face and laughing non stop.
I think its bc you let him behave this way. If you expect the same thing from him as your daughters there would be no issues. Kids feel the boundaries give him a baby doll to care for
@@flow8eraleuticawhen it comes to the sitting on his sisters face (who is 13 y.o by the way) she absolutely allows him to do that, and it’s in all good fun. She adores her brother and loves play wrestling with him. Still, he knows limits and to always checks in that sis sis wants to play before they start. This is where his development always impresses me. He knows boundaries even at that capacity. Just like teaching a child to ask before they throw a ball for catch. As for the quiet activities, It’s not a matter of allowing him to have that nervous energy, it comes natural. Trying to control it makes for a negative experience. However, since I’ve written this comment, I have actually discovered where I can implement these quiet activities, that is typically after he’s gone outside or even play wrestles. There’s also times where I’ve caught him in a lower energy level and asked him to sit with me. He loves bingo dot markers, shaving cream painting, things like that. We even recently bought a Melissa and Doug wooden car that he painted and is so proud of making! Anyways, I only say all of this because the key is not to make an active boy follow your orders to sit quietly. It’s about learning that there’s a time and a place for quiet activities. It’s hard sometimes to navigate because I have limited time but we do just fine now. I’m convinced God sent me this little guy to teach and challenge me in ways my daughters couldn’t. Still, it’s ruff sometimes.
love your ideas! thank you so much for sharing!! can you please spell the name of tape for me please? i dont know where to get it so i hope to buy it online God willing..
It looks like wall painting tape which usually doesn't damage surfaces. Blue Scotch brand can be found at home improvement stores like home depot, ACE hardware or big box /supply stores like walmart, amazon. Sticky notes with shapes or colors drawn on them can work too for a reaching, sorting, or matching game :)
