    Thanks Bino. I did exactly this when trying to follow your previous video and couldn't find a shizl. I think this is better than the shizl because of the ability to quickly disconnect from or move to the other side of a two way sliding knot. AND, they cost about $7 and are available at just about everywhere that sells hardware!

      Very true and just about every hard ware store will sell them. Thanks!

    Thanks for sharing this. Super new to climbing and don't have my own gear yet... Curious how much all of this would cost compared to a non-budget version. Thank you!

    • @BinoH
      @BinoH  Год назад +1

      For a lanyard depending on style possibly from 80.00 to 300.00 dollars.

    Hi Bino: so I made a 2 in 1 like the video and it seems very useful. My question: how do you manage the slack when not in use?

    • @BinoH
      @BinoH  Год назад +1

      The ones I've are not that long so I just let them dangle. If you made a very long one you might try to daisy chain it.

    • @jonathanchark5291
      @jonathanchark5291 9 месяцев назад +1

      Place the slack in your tool holders or attach non-locking carabiners to your saddle via paracord loops or heavy duty zip ties.

    Great! So how long is the rope if you want a 2 in 1 lanyard?

    • @BinoH
      @BinoH  Год назад +1

      I used 12 feet but you can make it as long as you want. You do loose about a foot and a half on each Double Fisherman's knot.

    I assume the lanyard is just old climbing line? Thanks. Need a 2 to 1 lanyard and well they want a fortune for one and was thinking... I can make one...

    • @BinoH
      @BinoH  Год назад

      Yes a climbing line that is still in good condition. They are kind of expensive this will work well and it could help you decide if buying a built one is worth it. Take care!
