What a beautiful job you and Dad are doing together, how well you work together. Makes me miss my Dad, we did many projects together. I will always be grateful to my Dad for giving me (a girl) the opportunity to learn so many skills from him. When I was growing up in the 60's and 70's it was unheard of. My mother insisted I still learned all the "girl" things also and I did. Which all turned out great. I ended up being up being a single parent of 2 boys and a girl. All can cook, do laundry, clean house, sew, build a wall,, sheet rock, lay mud, shingle, lay brick , drive a stick shift, garden, shoot a gun, skin a rabbit, use a bow and arrow. My son once told me I was the best Dad and Mom he could have had. Hahaha. Fathers can be marvelous people, seems like you got one too, and you yourself seem to be one. Prayers for your wife, Blessings to all and stay safe.
Wet and roof are two bad words when said together! You need a crew the next attempt. 8 people all together and 4 on each side. But you have to do with what ya got! Stay safe and healthy! And thank you for another great video!
Oh it sure would be nice to have a crew right about now. 😄 ...on the other hand, part of the joy of building this cabin is tackling it with just my dad.
Made for the roof or not, salvaged or new, pre-drilled or not, IT WORKS !!!! Don't let anyone say different. Glad to see you finally started wearing gloves, that metal can cut you bad, so don't take any chances. Great job 👍👍
Man is it ever good to see you post again and see you and your Dad looking so good! Y'all are prayed for at least daily, most days more than once. Excellent example of how the roof is like dressing your daughter! 😆 Very relatable. You are providing positively inspiring videos on your incredible labor of love there in the woods. I wonder what you'll name her? The cabin I mean...
Damn i ran up on your channel and skimmed through the video of you drilling into the boulders for the foundation and saw it was 3 years ago. Ive been skimming through all of the videos and I am finally caught up. Man what a journey, you and your pops have put a ton of labor into this cabin.
I learned a trick recently about installing boots onto metal roofs. Instead of placing the top edge parallel with the ridge, place it as a diamond so water sheds to each side to help in drainage. That way there is no place for water to sit. I wished I thought of that when I did my metal roof. The cabin is looking great.
You two are doing a wonderful job. I pray that you get all the metal roof installed before the snow really comes to stay. The roof is the most important build because of the need to repell water and hail and snow and ice. That roof design will do it!!!
Its looking so good with the start of the iron cladding on the roof - as others have commented - I say again that there are some shots of you working on the roof that drive my vertigo right off the scale!
In this day and age, I am fascinated by their patience. Most would be showing the fastest methods to get the job done. They take their time and work at their pace. They are only racing against Winter.
When I installed my own steel roof I used a clamp to connect to the panels and pulled them to the top. I thought it was easier plus one never got away from me. I've enjoyed your progress.
I read a book years ago called "working alone". One of the best tips in there was what you said. Using a c clamp on sheet goods a roofing makes them much more manageable, especially in wind.
Each time I watch an episode I think of my father who loved working at projects like this. He would have loved these. I've asked my sister to include your wife in her prayer group. Take good care. R
Thanks for making these videos man. Your cabin looks so amazing!! Congrats on a job WELL DONE!! I've been watching for years!!! Last year I bought a cabin for myself (I'm here now actually). You've inspired millions!!

I absolutely love your videos, such a great Dad you have . Hope your Wife is doing well thanks again for the amazing video.
@@TheOutsiderCabin Cheerish every moment you can spend making memories with him! I think that has been the best part of the build!
Made for the roof or not, salvaged or new, pre-drilled or not, IT WORKS !!!! Don't let anyone say different. Glad to see you finally started wearing gloves, that metal can cut you bad, so don't take any chances. Great job 👍👍
I discovered this channel last week. It's my new favorite! God bless, and be safe out there.
The salvaged steel looks great! The color is so natural with the surroundings. Stay safe and looking forward to future progress.
I love that color and dimensions
Damn i ran up on your channel and skimmed through the video of you drilling into the boulders for the foundation and saw it was 3 years ago. Ive been skimming through all of the videos and I am finally caught up. Man what a journey, you and your pops have put a ton of labor into this cabin.
I learned a trick recently about installing boots onto metal roofs. Instead of placing the top edge parallel with the ridge, place it as a diamond so water sheds to each side to help in drainage. That way there is no place for water to sit. I wished I thought of that when I did my metal roof.
The cabin is looking great.
The roof is turning out lovely. That is my favorite color of steel. I hope you can get the whole roof on. Your Dad is great in these vids.
You two are doing a wonderful job. I pray that you get all the metal roof installed before the snow really comes to stay. The roof is the most important build because of the need to repell water and hail and snow and ice. That roof design will do it!!!
Really enjoy watching the patience and care going into your project. I look forward to the next episode. Atlantic Canada during covid
I’ve been watching your channel for so long, and it’s always been one of my favourites. I envy you!
Its looking so good with the start of the iron cladding on the roof - as others have commented - I say again that there are some shots of you working on the roof that drive my vertigo right off the scale!
I like seeing your Dad out there with you !!! 👍
That is Multi Lifetime Roof your Daughter will be Proud of all your’s and Grampa’s work that when into this Amazing Cabin🤟🏻🤟🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is my favorite channel by far. I’m ready to help with chinking when you need me! 😀
That is an EXCELLENT idea! The book sounds like something I would love to have also. Thank you both!
Each time I watch an episode I think of my father who loved working at projects like this. He would have loved these. I've asked my sister to include your wife in her prayer group. Take good care. R
Blessings Prayers and Thank You from SC . So proud of your stewardship. It inspires me.
.... and with your autumn rains and spring snow melt your rainwater harvesting project is born.
Great work once again, lads.

Thanks for making these videos man. Your cabin looks so amazing!! Congrats on a job WELL DONE!! I've been watching for years!!! Last year I bought a cabin for myself (I'm here now actually). You've inspired millions!!
Always glad to see Papa Outsider! That is really a nice sized cabin you’ve built. She’s looking beautiful with her pretty green roof.
Greetings from southwest Michigan. I've enjoyed watching your progress and team work. Thank you for sharing...best wishes.
