Great input from your ownership experience! I love the sound it makes much more than the Toyota hybrids when in EV mode. I've got 55mpg on a long trip with this Accord and I still got the exact same leaf rating as I did at 45mpg 🤷♂️🤣
I bought the exact car your driving, white with ivory interior, handles fantastic, rides fantastic, getting same mpg as you, fastest hybrid that gets 45 plus mpg wish Honda would put this powertrain in the Ridgeline. Are you listening Honda?

The "left side" of the driver's display is very customizable. Press the "home" button on the steering wheel, and you get a list of more than 10 different displays. You can turn most of them off if you don't want a list that long, and re-arrange their order. You don't need to use the paddles to get regen braking. It's seemlessly integrated into the brake pedal; so well integrated, that you later said it doesn't feel like regen brakes. So if you are coming to a stop, as you describe, you can just use the pedal. The different levels are for adjusting the effect when you are coasting downhill, or coming to a long, slow stop. They reset because it can be a too-sudden jolt when you lift your foot off of the accelerator. But they stay in SPORT mode, for a limited one-pedal driving.
6:38 Are you sure you can't customize it? On my 21 Touring 2.0T, you can put audio, navigation, traffic signs, fuel economy, and driver aid in the display
Coming in late to purchase my 2021 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring with 19in wheels. Just sold my 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring with 220k miles, still had original brake pads and had no complaints at all! Sold it for $9800 though.
Hybrids or EVs are great with brakes. I have 2021 and I too haven’t changed the pads at now 145k miles. Dealer said I still have 7 left whatever that means haha
I really like the accord in general but I’d Probably get the 2017 touring v6. Nothing can beat the feel of the beloved j series v6. No matter if the turbo is quicker
@@PLATINUM2U only negatives I can see are that it has a timing belt vs a chain, and I think it also has cylinder deactivation so that could wear the cylinders out faster
I believe the regenerative braking manually set by the paddles in the 2021 Accord Hybrid does not reset after you come to a stop when you are in the Sport mode, only in the Econ mode. In the Sport mode, the setting remains the same and is cancelled once you turn the car off or if you change to Econ mode.
I'm heavily considering this, but i don't get why they don't just use the dashboard layout of the Civic, which is great. Big number with the speed, configurable options, fuel on the right. Also the 19 inch wheels that reduce fuel economy and ride comfort on what is supposed to be a comfy appliance makes ZERO sense. Plus it reduces sidewall on a car without a spare!
Buying this in it's base trim is the best bang for the buck. In previous years the base model didn't get android auto or apple carplay but for this model year it's standard across the range. Not losing out on much by going with the base model.
Very misleading review in one aspect(and for some the most important). Reviewer mentions that although in eco mode the car is very slow to respond, if he stops there, thats fine and accurate but then he says "its the limitation of honda system". That couldn't be further from the truth. In sport mode, driving the speeds he was driving when he made that statement, this car is more responsive than my 16 macan turbo at that speed, my 15' corvette stingray and certainly more responsive than anything in its class. Granted the cars i just mentioned will destroy it 1.5 seconds into the race however, we are talking about responsiveness and this thing(shockingly and surprisingly) excels at that. So its def not a limitation of the system, as a reviewer you cant say im going to put this car into the ultimate gas savings mode that geared to do one thing and thats save fuel, CUT throttle response and then say the car isnt responsive. I bought this solely as a commuter car (100miles a day) expecting it to suck the living soul out of me, but the aspect of how insanely responsive it reacts to throttle inputs(0-40 mph in sport mode) is what makes it really fun for something that not supposed to be and a huge differentiating factor from the other hybrids. at city speeds, in all the other hybrids, you drive the engine, here you drive the electric generator just like an electric car and it reacts as such.
I was surprised by how spacious the Accord is, especially for people sitting in the back. The rear offers lots of leg room, much more than the Lexus ES350.
11:50 I mean, put it in Sport mode and do the same test? Seems like I would expect/want the car to make the throttle sluggish in 'Econ' mode so even if I'm fiesty with my foot, it saves me from myself a bit?
@Jean Toronto Raptors The Honda system is NOTHING like the Toyota system. Neither are CVTs. They both behave like CVTs, but the Honda system is more like an EV with a generator than anything else.

Not gonna lie, i use the ev button on my gen 2 prius (Europe) only when i know i'll have a long straight / downhill road or a downhill section is coming, otherwise i have no power.
