Great! Went looking through youtube, and this was the first video that answered how to put the pop-up calendar in. I would recommending including a link to the DIV video you mentioned so that I don't have to go hunting for it too. Thanks!

Hi, I think a lot has changed in Google Sheets since you made this video. I tried following but the new setup asks me to + Add Rule. I couldn't figure it out and would love an updated tutorial please.
I had the same issue. To solve this issue, you should choose from Creteria the option: " Is Valid Date" and then click on Done. When you check the selected cell, you will see the Calender pop-up.
Thanks for the feedback. This video's had a good run and I'd hate to put it down (to use a bad cowboy analogy). With the new "chips" that are being added, I think it's time to revisit it though. I'll try to circle back to it soon.
I have a question. i have a list for ten dates in column A1-10, in column B1-10 i extracte the month a function(date(cell) or TEXT(cell, "mmmm" )). The problem is in column B1-10 the function the formula gives the month of December without even having filled in cell A. How can i fix this issue? Thanks in advance.
the date picker uses an american date format, how can I change it so its DD/MM/YY EDIT: worked it out, you need to set a custom date format after adding the calendar popup

If I got your question right, I believe that if you just enter a basic subtraction formula it works. For example if you want to show duration of a task in days (from 1/1/19 to 1/10/19), you just subtract the dates cells and it will show you the total duration (9 days). Add +1 in the formula if the last day counts for you too.

Hi teacher!!! I have a terrible situation that i can not resolve. I created a google sheet form and when the information is filled out.... a new raw in excel sheet is created. What hapepen is: by default in a colum is filled out with the date and time when the firm was created.....so.... when i create a formula to filter the information by date...... it is no posible becase (count if) doesnt count if the colum is filled out with time and date...... what would you do to protect a colum in order to show only the date and dessapear the time.?
Not sure. All dates are just assumed to be at midnight. If they aren't midnight, they are a decimal value and also show a time. Maybe convert it to a number, round up or down to get rid of the decimal, then convert it back to a date.

This has been a great help, BUT...... I have now changed the date format to "Monday, May 4, 2020" because I want data for days of the week. I tried to use a formula to pick out the day but it still displays in the text bar as 05/04/2020 so it is not picking up "Monday". Any suggestions?
@@bigbossrossRM No problem. When you change how a date is displayed, it changes how it is displayed in the cell. You can't change how it's displayed in the formula bar. If you wanted to work with the 4th day of the week, you'd do something like IF((WEEKDAY(A1)=4,[do something])
Thank you for the video. I do have another issue with the in-cell calendar. It states Sunday the first day a week. This confuses me a lot, when I try to change it. Where can I change it to Monday for week starts? Does this anybody know?

Great feature, just wish it worked in Google Sheets on Smartphone. The picker does not show up there at all.

What do you mean by the "text bar"?

Try changing your Local under File, Spreadsheet settings. Does that fix it?
