As a sax player for 40 or more years absolutely no way is that first sample is a real sax. I've compared the wave forms and the two examples are identical. Load them into Audacity free software and do the same. Identical down to the last wave. Having said that the ensemble recordings are passable and good enough to fool a non sax pro some of the time.
Even dealing with sample library fatigue, these sound extremely realistic!

I did go to the website to listen to the demos myself with my good headphones. If I am being "nit picky," the only thing that I could find that did not sound natural in the demos was the lack of air generated when breathing between each phrase, i.e: breath noise. As a wind player myself (trombone), that stuck out to me big time. Question: Is there a setting in this vst to help compensate by adding breath noise? If so, then I am sold!
After playing with this for awhile .... if you had to choose between Bari #1 and Bari #2, which would you pick?

I'd like to see that, too. This video basically had VHorns sold to me, but your comment made me hesitate. SWAM sure is crazy. Less than 500 MB disk size seems incredibly fishy but damn, it _does_ sound amazing
@@AsatructionThe size on disk is small because it's essentially a synthesizer, not a sampled instrument
I too would love to see a head-to-head between the two. Because of the suggestions of the Studio One User Group I chose the SWAM. Then after playing with it and attempting to play it along with a recording of Lenny Pickett, I got extremely discouraged. I wish I could play with the VHorns and see if I like it better.

Yes, and it's controllable (can assign CC fader/knob)

this guy is a joke. didint even play a single lick./...
He used to play the saxophone in Jazz bands a long time ago but
now midi sequencing is more his thing. With many of the free saxophone
VSTs such as DSK he is even hard to please but this saxophone library by
Acoustic Samples is one of the best saxophone libraries out there and
actually sounds almost as good as the real thing. With midi sequencing
you literally have an entire virtual band at your fingertips.
I prefer Mojo on vintage setting.
