Man, time to start saving! So beautiful! Its by no means cheap, however SWAM is much more expensive, and I think V Horns is actually better for Jazz/Pop/Funk.
Yea this plugin is amazing, although it's definitely pricy
the only thing that REALLY bugs me with literally every VST that deals with brass and reed is the lack of any sort of robust sforzato options. it seems like a pretty no brainer thing to have but somehow they never feature it.
Trying to make MIDI brass sound real is just a losing proposition in anything other than very limited, simple circumstances.
SWAM is the best I have every heard. I play trumpet so I am critical. There sax is also amazing.

swam is crazy because it's not sample based. it's actually synthesizing the sound. it's mindblowing
Sax are amazing, but their trumpets are weak for latin music. If you wanna play "Mary had a little lamb" those trumpets are fine, but for salsa or merengue those sounds are weak.
I think the swam trumpets sound fake and digital
Nice trumpets, until you need to play latin music. I've being looking for a good trumpet sound for latin music and everything sounds weak. Is like these guys making those trumpet VSTs only hear classic music. Play a good salsa or merengue and then tell me if your trumpets are real good or not.
Why is the trumpet so hard to simulate
Because the digital sound gods don’t love us
Saxophone is worse, the more expressive the instrument is the harder it is to simulate. In my Opinion, Trumpet has quite consistent timbre and tone when compared with sax.
The way the instrument manipulates the sound waves is something very hard to recreate digitally, I wonder if it would be possible with some sort of overcomplicated physics simulation
Funny thing is that it is probably the easiest instrument to simulate with the mouth.
The closest i've ever come to fooling another horn player was with Fable Sounds Broadway Big Band (or B'way Lites which is the version i have)
Is there a way to manipulate the mute as if the trumpeter is lifting the mute away from the horn while playing?

Audio Modeling SWAM blows this out of the park. I have both. SWAM is far much better.
Nice, but i can't finde a way to play chords (ansamble).
I'm losing enough money for buying expensive vst instruments just to get the original impression of music, yet it cannot be like the real one. So, I guess I better stop spending enough money if this one fails me again; and would like to go back to real instruments and purchase for live recording.

Really? These trumpets stink! Granted, they sound better than most of the libraries out there, but no one has come close to simulating REAL brass instruments yet! I for one will be so glad when someone gets it right.
yeah, i'm using it for a demo but for the real recording i'll definitely go with a real life musician + a real life trumpet lmao

Keep in mind these instruments really give you what you put in, of you just play like a keyboard player it's going to sound painfully synthetic. When people actually take the time to play with typical brass phrasing, articulations, especially when using multiple controllers likes breath controllers and expression pedals, these can sound remarkably close.

Sound is good, BUT! The plugin itself is biggest trash of all times. Loading 10 hours one sound. And look at the interface, you have to click all over the place, click 10000 times to get what you want. Let me guess, this plugin was created by an American? It's a rhetorical question
