The mystery of the poop on your stairs is probably from a homeless person who has most likely moved on. I would have put the ring camera on my door just to catch that person. Funny story, there was a little alcove by the entrance to my husband's office in the Gaslamp district of downtown San Diego, also full of homeless people. Said homeless people would use this alcove to regularly take a dump. You could see them squatting from inside the foyer because it was a full window. The building owners had to build another false wall over the alcove to stop people pooping there. It was pretty disgusting. Interesting topic this week!

I had my suspicions that was the case, but I always wondered why it was just my stairs. The other stairways are just as secluded. 🤣 I'm happy the poop incident has stopped, though now I'm always on the lookout if it happens again. Call it poop PTSD.

I read that queen Elizabeth the first died with a full inch of makeup on her face. I have always imaged the olden times to be really stinky. Your video and others show the poor oral and physical hygiene of people of the past. That is why I have always said don't judge our ancestors based on current morals and values. Their world was completely different than modern times. I have had to use outhouses a few times in the past and they stink, not to mention the chance of running into snakes and other critters in there at night. I would love to visit each time period for a week to experience life during that time but I would not want to live my whole life back then. Interesting video.
