    I just ordered one today in Vivid blue pearl and AWD without the added options, sorry Mr Computer but i want to drive. I believe Fiat will do well with the Chrysler and Dodge lineups, the 2015 200 lineup is an amazing first impression. I know there will always be critics but this is a beautiful "American" family sedan with European inspiration inside and out. Nicely done for 29K after tax and registration fees. (In CT by the way). I wish Fiat the best for their plan with both Chrysler and Dodge. You won my vote today.

    I really hope there's an in depth video like this for the 2015 Hyundai Sonata in the future.

    Although I like the exterior design (redesign) of this Chrysler 200, I like it a lot, and how they will continue to make progress, I would prefer an SUV. I don't like sedan that much, too small and too tight for me to drive and ride on. Nevertheless, I really hope American cars can be competitive again. This car would be the starting point.

    Fantastic review. A welcome refresh to the 200. $23xxx starting (for the limited, nobody wants steel wheels) puts it right in the same groove as a similarly equipped Altima, Camry and Fusion, which I'm sure is by no means an accident. I must admit, this strategy has not been working for the Dart, but I wish them luck. If I were shopping for a midsize car, this would be on my list. One side note, reserving minor features like fog lights or heated mirrors for the premium S and C models is irritating. A base model, $21xxx Optima has them. This should as well.

    this should make a big dent in the foreign mid-size car market

    Initial quality, initial good feeling is one thing about this car(or any car), but let's talk about it 3 years down the road especially with Chrysler.

    Since the limited model is their volume seller, what most people will buy - why do all of these guys do reviews on the top of the line models? All the video showed me was all of the stuff I'm NOT going to be getting. I understand the manufacturer is trying to show off all the bells and whistles but in reality it kinda puts me off.

    Sadly she has 2.4... I'd rather have 3.6 vs 295HP....

  • @AllFishSwim
    @AllFishSwim 9 лет назад +1

    Why buy this with the 2.4? If you wanted the 2.4 than get a Dart?

    The voice control is so NOT USER FRIENDLY and the GPS needs a major upgrade. Garmin and Chrysler need to scrap the current version, For $ 300 bucks one could purchase a portable garmin, with WAY MORE user friendly and NATURAL voice controls. Visual gas prices should be standard with the GPS and makes for a great selling point. I did also notice the backup camera is kinda "pixely" at times. There also appears to be a fog build up issue on the windshield on damp mornings-although it is eliminated relatively quickly when you use the defroster-might wanna coat the glass with some anti-fog spray before the car hits the dealership.
    Solid BLACK interior is so mundane, the door panels are black, the seats are black, the dash board is black, etc, etc. The C class video shows cream color mixed with black accents, nice but that specific interior was special order. With so many knockoffs to leather alternatives, a splash of color interior would have been a great visual and would have given the average consumer the illusion of luxury. Chrome trim is nice-It would have been cool if chrome rims were available instead of the silver aluminum alloy.
    Over-all Id give it a 7.5 out of 10.

    Placement of the powerpoints under the sliding cupholders isn't a great design idea. Would be clumsy to have drinks in the console then need access to the plugs. Would have been better to place the eBrake switch to the left of the steering wheel and put the powerpoints on top of the console. Otherwise an impressive car!

    Nice car, but it has major transmission shifting problems with the new 9 speed.

      That is true for the first test drive version of this, the software was resolved.

    • @godlyhalo
      @godlyhalo 10 лет назад

      The Cherokee basically was the test vehicle for this transmission. Initially there were a whole lot of shifting issues in the pre-production 200 vehicles, but as development went on, they got a whole lot better. Once they finally hit production, all the issues had been resolved. When I finally got into the first batch of production vehicles, I was simply amazed how much better the shifting was. If you are curios as to the source of this, well I'm a test driver for Chrysler.

    dude, I own a 2015, had it for almost a full 12 months now. The NAVAGATION UCONNECT is soooooooo not user friendly and is certainly NOT the best-----I KNOW CAUSE I HAVE OWNED GPS systems for about 12 years now. My latest one is a GARMIN, I have been with garmin for about 8 years now. MY 3rd garmin cost me $ 800, last year I purchased one for $ 1400.......IF U EVER HAD a chance to play with a current new garmin, you would surely agree that compared to UNCONNECT 8.0, garmin is USER FRIENDLY........ BY A LONG SHOT. UCONNECT has a VERY LIMITED voice list, its not interchangeable as to voices, colors of background, how you want it displayed, and the list goes on and on and on. My 200, 2015 has had the ENGINE LIGHT GO ON 4 TIMES, ITS HAD A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSION, had to have the computer upgraded (bare in mind its a 2015---yet a UNCONNECT update was issued), had to replace a chip to fix the engine light problem. The PUSH BUTTON start is awkwardly placed in the 200, Canadian Unconnect has a lot less options than the U.S. Uconnect, and the car design looks like about a dozen other cars. You can disagree all you want but ANYONE WHO has car afficiano and who has had a few GPS devices will surely see that I am stating FACTS. 200 does not come in a wide variety of colors---disapointing.
    SO to the engineer design team-UCONNECT SUCKS---go garmin or go home. Do U want proof. Go out to the Uconnect system and ask it to find MEIJERS----do U know what it will come back with-----it also has the RECALCULATING OR REROUNTING annoying voice prompt when U go past your exit-----GARMIN LISTENED to the public and OMITTED this message years ago. It should say just take the next exit---no one wants to hear RECALCULATING over and over. ASK uconnect to "find nearest TACO BELL"-here is what Uconnect says"line 1 taco bell, line 2 taco bell, line 3 tacobell, line 4 tacobell, line 5 taco bell, line 6 taco bell"--You cant interupt the annoying voice, you dont know what street any taco bell is on, you cant view line 4 and then go back to the list, etc. I have about a dozen more simple navagation tests and Uconnect just doesnt comprehend, understand, or have an answer to. Iphone 6-Siri is user friendly, my ford touch is friendly, garmin friendly, TOM TOM is friendly---UCONNECT is slow, annoying, limited, and the COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF USER FRIENDLY.
    After I start the car----the lag for the UCONNECT IS SOOOO fricken slow---like 15-20 or more seconds.....OYE. Garmin---turn it on, boom 2-4 seconds.
    Want another WTF function in the 200, 2015.....theres a back button....push it a few times and watch the screen, useless. The 2015 comes with 4 doors to fit 4 people---BUT ONLY 1 USP PORT------what the hell.
    FACT IS-chrysler rushed to get this out--they DID NOT check the competition, clearly as both HYUNDAI AND KIA have similar yet slightly better exterior designs, the interior needs work, most people have iphones,ipads and one usb port aint gonna cut it, the computer system should be redsigned-software must be more user friendly---GAS PRICES should be standard in a GPS system. OPEN THE HOOD-take a looksy at the battery-----WHERE ARE THE PLASTIC CAPS to cover the terminals---seems they were left off and watch how you open the fuse box, cause those flimsy thin plastic tabs will snap with minimal pressure, I can can continue---if anyone takes a closer look, you will ultimately come to the conclusion, that CHRYSLER simply DID NOT DO THEIR HOME WORK CORRECTLY, they did a rush job, failed to learn from their competition and cheaped out on NAV-SYSTEM---too many glitches.
    INTERIORS ALSO SELL VEHICLES and will be the defining factor when people purchase a new car. 2016-17 models----SPEND a little more time making the interior cooler, with stuff people actually will use. NOW PAY ATTENTION CHRYSLER--open your wallet PAY GARMIN to design your nav system....trust me, you can thank me later. Upgrade the backup camera, put in an extra usb port or charging station and LOOK at your competitors design----see if they have something cooler than you.
    Lastly, advertise more---FORD had like 10 commercials to your 1.

      The host has a Canadian accent - that's why it comes out sounding like "Cryzzler"; there's actually a fair few cars that are advertised with different pronunciations in Canada. Just ask one of us us to pronounce "Prelude" & "Celica" ;) You'll have a good laugh.

      No it doesn't look like a Corolla its not boxy enough to be a Toyota. The vivid blue is not the same as the Corolla either. This is vastly upscale to the Corolla.

      Jordan Gehlhausen that's your opinion, I still say it looks like the Corolla. I have to keep looking at the title of this video to remind myself that it's a Chrysler but then again alot of 2014 models are looking like shit like the '14 tahoe and escalade so I'm not surprised by this '14 Corolla excuse me Chrysler :p

      It's spelled Chrysler with one "s". I couldn't believe you would mis-spell the name. How many times have the name been spelled in this chain of comments. More importantly, from someone who appears to have a great interest with this brand of vehicles.
