- This is a quick and cute little project that can be made with scrap yarns and button. Perfect for carrying pens in your bag or any number of little trinkets. Adjust the length and width to fit your needs :)
I loved your calm, clear tutorial and the results. I'm looking forward to crocheting. Thank you, Laurel 🙏
I’m an absolute beginner and I just want to say that I really loved this tutorial. It was straightforward and clear. I’m considering this as my very first project. Thank you for sharing this! 👍🏼👍🏼
Oh that's wonderful! I'm definitely not a professional crocheter or anything - I just picked it up as a hobby a few years back and have managed to make several items that I really enjoy! I'm sure with practice you'll be pumping out more crochet items than you have space for :)
This tutorial is amazing thankyou! You’ve made it so easy for beginners to understand and your voice is so clear 😊 sending best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺💜
So glad it was helpful!
I’m going to make a couple for my tombow pens! I can’t wait!

I love this! Definitely gonna make one!
Thanks a lot!! My daughter loves them and I keep one in my purse as well :)
I made one for my sister with your instructions today:) thank you! It looks beautiful and it's easy to make
I'm so happy you liked it. It really is very simple. Lots of other youtubers have very fancy and creative pouches/cases to try as well!!

This is what I’ve been looking for! Thanks a lot
You're very welcome!
I keep coming back to your video as I love how this pouch turned out. I have made a few now for various uses. I made one for my phone and another for my husband's glasses. I then made one half the length to keep all my spare buttons in. Please keep up the good work with your videos. You explain everything so well and I've now run out of your videos to watch.
You are so very sweet. Thank you for watching the videos and for the lovely comment. I have been busy with work and now the kids are off for the summer so my video-making time is severely limited. I have been crocheting several throw pillows for my couch, so perhaps I will have to try to make a video on those soon :)
That would be lovely but only when the time is right for you.
Thank you so much for teaching this...
👍👍❤❤
You're very welcome!
Great tutorial, nice, easy, and beginner friendly! Making some for my friends! =)
Excellent! Have fun crocheting :)
Thank you for sharing. I'll be making a couple of these today! (:
Oh that good. It's a super simple and fast item to make and you can customize it to other types of stitches and embellishments too :) I hope you like your results.
Lovely, going to use this pattern to hold my spare sunglasses 😎thank you
Oh yes! That's a good idea :)
Joan Gallagher she mentioned the hook and yarn used at the end of the video 😊
Great idea for crochet hooks
Yes. So simple and fast. And a good way to use up any spare buttons you may have.
I love this simple, clear tutorial! I'm going to use this to hold a few crochet hooks!
Mine got all round cause I didn't count the stiches LOL, but the important thing is that I have somewhere to keep my pencils hahaha
❤️❤️❤️❤️
👍👍👍
Thanks!
On rows 2-7, do you start in the third stitch like the first row, or do you start from the chain 2?
Hi there. No, you will not start in the 3rd stitch on rows 2-7. I'm sorry I did not show that part. Once you have finished row #1 and have chained 2, you will turn your work and begin with a 1/2 double crochet into the top of the very first stitch (which happens to be the last 1/2 double crochet you completed in the previous row before chaining 2). You do not need to skip any chains now since this is no longer the foundation row. I hope that makes sense :)
Laurel's Kitchen & Crochet thank you!!
What yarn did you use in this video? It’s so pretty that I am hoping to get some
Hi there! It was Red Heart yarn in the color "Pink Camo". Hopefully it's still around - this was a little while ago.
do you have a tutorial for the smaller ones that look seamless on the sides?
how much would you suggest to increase to fit 14" Tunisian crochet hooks?
When I measured it out to fit my pens I just began with a long foundation row and then did a tri-fold with that row to see if it would be long enough to fit my needs. I would suggest you do the same and lay your tunisian hooks beside it to see if you need to add or take away a few chains.
What size hook did you use here?
jebling4 she used a 4.5mm hook (loose pouch) and a 4mm hook (tight pouch)
If I use thin yarn . Should i use double yarns ??
And what size of the hook should i use ?
Hi there! As you can see in the video I used only one strand of yarn. Also, you can find the recommended size of hook needed for the yarn you choose on the yarn packaging. If you want your stitches to be a bit closer/tighter then you can use a slightly smaller hook than what is recommended on the packaging. In the video I showed that I used a 4.5mm hook for one pouch and 4.0mm for another pouch.
Thank you but i mean that my yarn is thin not as thick as yours . So should I use two thin yarns to produce the same size of your bag
@@rosestar2422 Oh, I understand. Yes, I would say you can give it a try and use 2 strands of yarn to bulk it up a bit. You may just need to hold the 2 strands of yarn in your hook and try a few of them to see which hook best fits the 2 thins strands of yarn.
@@laurelscrochet3847 ok 👍🏻
Thank you so much ♥️♥️
What is the approximate time to make one of these
It takes me about 40 minutes if I'm just doing one as I watch tv or something like that. Everyone crochets at their own speeds, so it may be more or less, depending :)
