Ainsley is so incredibly smart. Like, Toby is intelligent and you can tell that by looking at him and when he's in conversation. But Ainsley has the situation of "I'm blonde and I've got a slightly higher pitched voice and look at me, I've got a perfect hourglass figure." that makes people think 'dumb'. Then, bam, she gets into a conversation about something and you can see how clever she really is.Also Leo. LEO.

Aaron Sorkin is a modern times Shakespeare. Don't you hear how the dialogue flows like music, or sounds like a ping pong match of the quickest wit ? These characters are the smartest people in the world. They can talk about extremely complex subjects, they often explain them to each other for the viewer's benefit, but they can also convey whole conversations with not even a sentence : "Good. Good. Get out." Is all we need from John Spencer to get Leo McGarry.

I can't believe Emily ditched this show for CSI Miami. Talk about wasting talent

Dude... romance between Ainsley and Sam was just so ripe for picking in the following seasons after this one. BUT alas Emily Proctor wasn't retained.

I'm a little hard of hearing and this clip is indecipherable for me. The CC stuff is almost a total failure so this clip is not handicapped accessible. Honestly I loved when they brought Ainsley into the fold just as i loved when they brought Vinick into the fold. I am a lefty and I want to know the arguments that suggests that my point of view is not a good one. Not being able to understand this conversation is a bummer.

No man dislikes being called "the master" by a beautiful woman, even the man who recognizes she's playing him.

This show is brilliant, and unfortunately, a fairytale compared to real politics.
