I've had a straight eared scottish for about 9 years and she is a very special cat, loves to snuggle, is very intelligent and has an identical face shape as your kitty, she goes absolutely nuts when you change the sheets on the bed, she puts on quite a show, this breed typically does not like to be picked up or held but they are wonderful cats.
agree mine is the exact same.
I had a moggy with folded ears for 19 years. Her name was Goku. She had a bad quality single fold, but since she wasn't pedigree, she had no standard to follow (and I loved her tiny ears). She was my first cat and died last year. I miss her :(

I remember when I brought home my scottie (she's my 6th cat) she barely took any time getting used to everything and bonded with my other cats so well (We have a Maine Coon, Sphinx, Abyssinian, Persian, and Oriental shorthair as well) it surprised me and everyone but my Persian always competed for my attention :)

@@hang.0509 All Scottish Fold cats suffer from variable degrees of painful degenerative joint diseases. This is what gives the cat the folded ear look. The more folded the ear, the more progressive the disease. for example, the cat in the video has an extreme case of SFOCD and will live an excruciatingly painful life as the disease deforms it's skeleton with age. We can only hope the person taking care of this cat will put this cat down once the suffering gets too severe.
I owe 3 cats each one has a different personality. The Bengal is so smart and very social, scottish fold is very lay back and the other scottish straight is very playful. I love them all

Watching Gobi makes me miss my Sayang Sabrina so much. She's a folded Scottish Fold female who passed at the age of 17 years 6 months old last Friday, 18/3/2022 due to CKD & mammary gland cancer. She brought me abundance of love + joy all these years. It saddens me that she passed, but at the same time I feel relieved that she's now free + no longer in pain. She's prolly having tons of fun being sweet, cheeky + playful with her new friends in heaven. Your Gobi is beautiful! Don't Scottish Fold feline kiddos have the sweetest personality? :)
My friend, that cat was in pain since the day it was born. The ear fold is not a 'cool look' it's caused by a degenerative joint disease that gets increasingly painful as the cat ages. All scottish folds have this disease bred into them by humans.
It’s so sad and cruel. I tell people just get a British shorthair they look just like Scottish folds but without such a painful disease

Beautiful kitty! I also have a Scottish Fold , and I have a British Shorthair. One thing that ppl gotta be aware of is their cats & kittens getting into the washing machine but especially the dryer. Lots of cats lose their lives from this. There are even make magnetic stickers to warn ppl to check the dryer first for your cat before turning it on. Years ago, my sister had a Persian kitten and it got into the dryer somehow and ended up taking her lil life. That's how I found out what a common thing this is.

Gobi is sooo adorable! And oh my gosh, our Scottish fold cat likes to play with paper balls as well! Lmao! In fact, paper balls are scattered all over our house. Their breed is very sociable. They are not shy of visitors. They do not want to be cuddled but they like being petted most of the time. They can also be naughty at times.

@Rayyan Danial Intizam the folded ears are caused by a development abnormality called osteochondrodysplasia. this mutation affects cartilage throughout the cat’s body and results in bone malformation, which in turn causes severe chronic pain from degenerative joint diseases. scottish folds live in constant pain from an early age but are constantly bred for human satisfaction.
