Keep up the awesome work and you'll soon be commanding that chopper the same way you did the F16 - no doubt!

Thanks C.W. I flew my first solo at White Sands Missile Range. It was not a helicopter though, although I rode in a lot of them. It is so special. First a Piper, than a C-150. My experience was over the Mal Pais, lava beds that where there for, I suppose, a few million years. I don' remember. They absorbed the sun, and gave us huge thermals. Meanwhile, considering what you are accomplishing, the very different aircraft, I commend you so much. Not sure how to do this here, but I'd like to buy any other book you release... Thanks C.W.L.
Cool stuff, visual acuity with verbal emphasis...did the same in my solo...talked it in and out...the separate self, non-biased for or against, as a clear eyed and clear headed observer and coach...
Your remarks about the trees brought me back to my 1st solo cross country. All that was below me were trees, and I had an engine that started to stumble pretty badly. Also, you mentioned a "tower" I think - at 500 feet that would really concern me. Your tons of experience really showed through as you moved from airfield to airfield, while flying a completely new type of aircraft. And you did it so effortlessly. (like it was old hat.)
