I wonder if they changed the steering wheel haptics, because my '23 20th Anni has haptics AND buttons. Each of the steering wheel buttons respond only to gestures, (on volume and skip you have to swipe the direction you want, haptics doesn't seem to work just by touching them), and my infotainment system is incredibly quick. One thing I also noticed was that my 21' S4's wireless carplay... I tap skip and about 2.5 seconds later the song changes... in my R, it's utterly instantaneous. I also turned off my Soundaktor. I also only drive in Race Mode, so start stop never works. Also I defaulted it to Memory using Adaptations in OBD11, so even if I drive in Comfort or whatever, it remembers my setting of being turned on or off and remains that way till I change it again. I also LOVE the interior, I've owned several Golf's, GTI's and R's and none of them have felt as pleasant, sturdy or well built inside. I'm surprised you didn't mention the HK Sound system... it's INFINITELY better than my S4's B&O 3D Surround and even more so than the MK7's Fender/Sony system - but I HATE the equalizer. I don't know what the fack 100hz 10hz and all those options are - just give me subwoofer, bass, treble and middle. :')
For the AC control i just hit the seat/fan logo on the driver side and it takes you straight to climate control i only use the slides for muting the radio. The auto start on mine only functions in comfort mode, i did buy it used from VW but i dont think its been tuned/flashed in anyway. And since it always starts in sport mode i just edited aport modes settings to match my custom driver profile for DD and I dont have to turn off the auto stop/start
Mk6 Golf would be the best if it didn't have so many reliability issues. I own one, and the timing chain caught me off guard the first time. Now I'm on another engine, and more prepared for what it has in store.
@@Mk7.5shelbyBut the 7.5 was a half generation refresh so the engineers smoothed out quirks of the MK7. When the MK8.5 releases it should improve significantly as well, hopefully.

That's awesome! We're also curious as to what small updates may have been made.
