possibly the biggest TDS youtuber that's seen this so far, so here's what i think yes, TDS content is repetitive, but pretty much everything has been exhausted already for TDS every single map has been beaten, every single gamemode has been beaten, speedruns and challenges are a dime a dozen and the games meta has evolved to extremely easy, so typically the only thing that interests people are huge updates with new fresh gamemodes/new towers/new skins and such TDS is already 5 years old now and lots of things are still extremely old and outdated (hardcore, old towers, old stats, ETC) youtube as a whole is EXTREMELY competitive with this game as well, and i think everyone tries to upload ASAP to not get "munched" (all views go to one video instead of evenly distributed throughout the smaller creators) specifically with corso, he does typically upload quality, informative, and short videos, and is rewarded with the algorithm for it with views because of the nature of how many subscribers and fans he has i've talked to multiple YTs and they all feel the same about this, usually content creators want to get content out as fast as possible before corso or bigger creators start taking in massive amounts of views so at least they have a small chance to grow specifically the pursuit & commando reworks, my commando video was a massive success cause corso didn't upload his for about half a day so i was able to get a lot from it, and my pursuit video instantly had it's views drop off when he uploaded his if content creators went through the effort of making high quality, passionate content, there's a very high chance they'd be too slow and get a considerably less amount of views cause we took too long no disrespect at all for corso btw, tbh i would do higher quality videos if it didn't feel like such a massive race & like i was competing with 100s of other creators who want to upload to get good views/growth It's not entirely TDS' fault, but because of how small TDX is i think it's more bearable over there cause the games smaller & content drops are a lot slower, leading to more innovative ideas and videos that TDX youtubers have to upload to stay afloat/keep steady growth this isn't an excuse for every single creator, cause there are definitely some creators who want to squeeze out as much from youtube as possible (i was formerly and still am kinda guilty of this, with my older videos being unedited raw gameplay pretty much releasing immediately when an update dropped) this is my personal opinion and i don't know if people will disagree or agree with it but this is just how it's been for me

I know you aren’t comparing the in a nutshell videos but i feel like zambie’s content is still a good example of this since his in a nutshell video formats is just the same thing every time he makes a video by just comparing tds to other games which gets extremely annoying and unoriginal
It’s repetitive content but I wouldn’t call it slop. Slop content is more defined by its lack of editing, effort, and real substance. Sure the “in a nutshell” videos might have less editing, effort, and substance than a typical video but it at least has something rather than nothing.
I would appreciate it if just one channel was like this and tried to be informative about updates, leaks, and whatnot but you have a point…THE WHOLE COMMUNITY IS LIKE THIS
The worst part of slop content is that, these creators know they can do better and they know that we know but they just don’t commit to it. There are people that make custom skins, maps, know how the game fundamentally works and try to give balance changes. But no content about it. You know how amazing a video about making custom skins/maps would be? The thought process of how the custom content was created and why they did the things they did? How an actual video about the evolution of certain game modes or personal challenges would be great? Talking about how speedrunning changed with sources and explanations. Custom balance changes and reworks for towers? But nothing, it’s barren. And that’s the worst part, since we can get those but the content creators are more worried about being consistent with high views than having a passion about the game. But the thing is, why stay with this game and not something more popular? To be different or what? I don’t understand.

First of all, informative content can be entertaining. And also it's ok if a video is just for entertainment, but like I said in the video most of these videos just suck and aren't really that entertaining.

Tbh TDS youtubers should try making content on smaller parts of the game, like maps, lore, the enemies, or maybe even what towers have good synergy, or hell, challenge vids, like how my goat Kurindor makes tdx challenges
i kinda of agree. When I upload, I try to think about my challenges and make them unique, bot to 5ouls's point, it's really hard to come up with something original because TDS has already had a ton of videos made. That's why when I upload again, I'm gonna make my content style more unique and not focus on just tds and tdx. It really is discouraging seeing someone else get tons of views for doing very little

As a tds content creator myself, there isn’t really much content to post about tds, because just like tdx, the content is kind of dry. We want more content but there simply isn’t enough that tds can provide so that’s why we make the same slop content. Some people I guess just do it for the income lol. I try and make decent content but I am not like a really good video editor so I can’t really push out different content
your content is the best type of tds content aside from video essays, you actually try out the tower in game and just show it off instead of yapping about the high dps for 8 minutes because rent is getting high

@serily4524 RUclips is pretty much about views for the most part though, attention gives you views and views give you money. If you couldn’t make money from RUclips, then there’d be zero reason to make videos. But yeah, lots of tds content is just people saying “NEW TOWER IS OP!!!!!!1!1!1!1!1!1!!1, which is annoying, but I imagine it pays good. There are still good tds RUclipsrs though (ex: corso, propellers, endportex, etc.), but still, it does suck that most of it is just people saying the same thing about the new thing.

Corso and Propellars is the only 2 good tds youtubers in my opinion, i mean, Corso legit gives the most detailed discription of every tower when they release, talking about their "stats, weaknesses, and how good they are" and propellars has learned a lot about editing to make good videos.
The update is a rework of a tower and balance changes...theres not much to talk about in plus the main topic of the update was the rework so ovbiusly TDS youtubers make a video on a TDS tower that got updated, its not slop its just them checking out the main update, of course its may sound like its the same thing bc the update like i said its just mainly about pursuit. The only person i would say longers video for no reason is wikiacolors there may be more (ovbiusly) but not every tds youtuber is one so...yeah chill out a bit man

@serily4524 RUclips is pretty much about views for the most part though, attention gives you views and views give you money. If you couldn’t make money from RUclips, then there’d be zero reason to make videos. But yeah, lots of tds content is just people saying “NEW TOWER IS OP!!!!!!1!1!1!1!1!1!!1, which is annoying, but I imagine it pays good. There are still good tds RUclipsrs though (ex: corso, propellers, endportex, etc.), but still, it does suck that most of it is just people saying the same thing about the new thing.

Corso and Propellars is the only 2 good tds youtubers in my opinion, i mean, Corso legit gives the most detailed discription of every tower when they release, talking about their "stats, weaknesses, and how good they are" and propellars has learned a lot about editing to make good videos.

The update is a rework of a tower and balance changes...theres not much to talk about in plus the main topic of the update was the rework so ovbiusly TDS youtubers make a video on a TDS tower that got updated, its not slop its just them checking out the main update, of course its may sound like its the same thing bc the update like i said its just mainly about pursuit. The only person i would say longers video for no reason is wikiacolors there may be more (ovbiusly) but not every tds youtuber is one so...yeah chill out a bit man
