Ellen, thank you for the additional verbal tutorial. As you speak, not only do you state what you"re doing, but your tone also emphasizes the rationale behind why you"re doing it. Thank you ⛄
I started dabbing in watercolors Christmas Eve 2019 after I watched this video on the half snowman head which turned out great! Since then I practiced on a few things but enjoy painting blue herons. I painted one for my sisters house down in Florida and gave to her this Christmas. She loved it! My sister called me and said her friend saw it and asked me to paint one for her. I can’t tell you how excited I am!!! Thank you for posting your videos!!!!
Uch these wee snowmen are brilliant ! As a beginner i think you've given me a bit of confidence to give this a wee go. Thanks snow much for this. I might even go as far as making mine look Scottish
It’s a very juvenile picture. Good for kids. You know all those watercolor paint books or coloring books for adults? You can trace them onto watercolor paper using graphite paper and make cards that look special. You can even make your own coloring book by using magazines.
The snowmen are adorable! I’m a beginner but I think I can do these. I like it when you talk on the videos, telling us about colors and brushes and mixing colors! Thanks!
What a great tutorial, such cute examples. Very easy to follow, too. Ellen, can you put your video's up with a louder volume? I had mine turned up at it's highest and still could not hear you as well as I wanted. Thanks!
I just finished my snowman and I posted on IG which I tagged you. Absolutely, adorable and sooo much fun! Thank you for the tutorials Ellen, I'm going to try the gnome next😊
By the way....I love your channel. It is refreshing to see someone making AND teaching easy beginner cards. It gives a beginner quick confidence to build on. Thank you
Each of the cards are WONDERFUL, Ellen!! Thank you again for your patient demonstrations for those of us who are so new to watercolor painting. Each design that you show us is obviously so well thought out as to how to make it as easy and simple as possible. You actually give me hope that even I can create something so cute and adorable as each of these snowmen are.
Hi Ellen! These are SOO adorable! I would have never attempted this guys due to the additional particulars of their gear and different shapes. I am grateful for your step-by-step on the wc paper before I paint! Merry Christmas to you! Frances Turano Newport, RI!!!
@@ellencrimitrent I know girl! We chatted last week about our East Coast loves of NE! You said you were in NY too and didn't lose your accent! LOL. Just finished your w/w pink/indigo trees too. Very relaxing and gorgeous color scheme. Thanks for everything, Ellen!
I enjoy both watching and listening to little tips along the way, when you instruct in real-time. With your thoughtful instruction, I can do this, so I’m gonna do my remaining cards in watercolor. Thanks, Ellen.
I really enjoyed this tutorial for a number of reasons, the little snowman is something I could try, your style is unique and I can hear everything you say. I learn best by listening as well as looking. I just found your channel and I love it.
Thank you so much, for this gorgeous video! It was really great and also rather easy to follow! It was my first time to visit you, and it was a very positiv visit. I`ll be back !
Your tutorials are very relaxing to watch. Perhaps you could do Hanukkah cards, Chinese New Year, Peace cards, Thanksgiving cards... Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you for the great video! I love water colors and would like to be able to make some original type cards (with basically no skills). You have made this doable for me. Thank you.
I appreciate you speaking through your tutorials because I am picking up on different techniques in order to get the effects I desire when painting. I’m just getting into watercolor, and enjoying it. Thank you for your help!
Wow, I think I may be able to do this! I know that because of your skill you make it look easy, but I think your tips in the tutorial will really help, for instance how to avoid the harsh line on the cheeks. Thank you ☃️☃️⛄⛄❄❄❄😍😍
I’ve taken watercolor classes before and have never been given the amount of info you gave in this simple video. Thank you. Love that you tell us your brush, paper and color types. You make it seem easy and accessible. I’ve definitely subscribed.
I love all your videos and have tried many of the beginner ones. I’m getting more confident about painting things because of your instruction and encouragement.
Thank you Ellen. I made a Christmas card for my wife with the little guy with the knit cap. Came out pretty good and she loves it. She wanted the ornament and stocking in blue though instead of red. Merry Christmas!
Love these snowmen. they are sooo cute. Just found your channel and I am learning so much. thank you for sharing& I look forward to your future videos. 😊
I enjoyed your tutorial very much. I've been using watercolor for several years, but I've not practiced much this past year. I got all caught up in purchasing M. Graham & only single pigments, it actually made it too precious to just play around. I love the brush your using the series 111, they're my favorite and not the most expensive. I subscribed. Thanks for sharing.

Cute! Me. Clean will take that spot off. Just dampen the sponge just a bit, then rub the spot gently.
