what if Port no 1 is defective, but the other port are working? my port 1 is damage due to powersurge

Ether1 can only be used on most devices. Alternatively if your device has a console port its possible to achieve this via serial.

This could be for a few reasons. Make sure you are plugged into the correct Ethernet interface and check your firewall settings on the computer.
