Hell yes. Scar Symmetry is amazing. One of my favorite melodeath bands. Their singer from this album (their original singer) was so insane with his range that when he left the band, they had to replace him with two singers.
Great song. Great album. They have a similar monster song called The Kaleiodoscopic God that rocks. Can't go wrong with pretty much anything on Pitch Black Progress or Holographic Universe
Glad you discovered Scar Symmetry! if u want to try another song from them, i'd suggest u to check out Timewave Zero. And if u want to try other some other swedish metal (yeah, i know u've done an In Flames Song already) give In Flames - Crawl Through Knives a try!
Dreaming 24/7, The Illusionist, Prism and Gates... I could list of songs for awhile but honestly, any song is great. Just a heads up, their first few albums has their old vocalist and their last 2 albums they've released they replaced him with 2 other guys, 1 for cleans and 1 for harsh vocals. Typically people aren't as much a fan of the new stuff due to that but it's still great music.
Next Scar Symmetry list 1) Morphogenesis 2) The illusionist 3) seeds of rebellion 4) Timewave Zero 5) Fear Catalyst 6) Artificial Sun Projection 7) Ghost Prototype ii - Deus Ex Machina 8) Slave To The Subliminal 9) Pitch Black Progress 10) Mind Machine
Great band! Although they haven't been the same since the original vocalist left. Christian is a great vocalist and has an amazing range, screaming and singing wise. You should check out his current band. I recommend Solution 45 - Gravitational Lensing.
I'll agree to disagree. Their latest album "The Singularity (Phase I: Neohumanity)" competes and overtakes some of their older works in my opinion. The style has changed a bit sure, but it now fits how the new vocalists sound, and oh boy do they sound amazing. I was a fool to neglect "The Unseen Empire" and the new release for so long, having been on the "oh without Christian they're nothing"-wagon for too long... :)
Great song, love this band. Always thought this song (at least the beginning) may be influenced by Devin Townsend. This is one of my favorite tracks from them for sure. Cheers man! \,,/
Scar symmetry beatifull song great band But!.. ..the origin of this heavy gender is the greatest heavy band NOCTURNUS..please! From The key, Lake of fire reaction!!!... Masterpeace..
Holy shit, FINALLY! For your next "Scar Symmetry" reaction I suggest "The Illusionist": Lowlife Media music video. Just for a great introduction to them in appearance.
Also check out the vocalist's new band, Solution .45. I highly recommend the song Inescapable Dream. Also, if you're looking for some great prog metal that came out this year, check out Paradoxica by Wide Eyes and Stars And Satellites by Threshold.
Saw them live 11 years ago now with original singer. They were flawless live. It was a very small place in Detroit called IRock. Great fucking show. They played with Into Eternity, The Haunted, and Dark Tranquillity. One of my favorite shows I've been to. I met the band briefly before-hand, complimenting their playing ability as they loaded in their own shit and they're like "yeah thanks man." Hard workin' dudes from Sweden. \,,/ I'll list my top 10 songs for Scar Symmetry (excluding song from video): Seeds of Rebellion, The Illusionist, Ghost Prototype I - Measurement of Thought, Timewave Zero, Chaosweaver, Hybrid Cult, The Iconoclast, Dark Matter Dimensions, Nonhuman Era, Illuminoid Dream Sequence... No specific order. Well this got longer then intended lol. Ah Fuck it, enjoy future reader! \,,/
I don’t think you’ve done Liquid Tension Experiment - Paradigm Shift (live). It’s got John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater. It’s a face melter!!!
some good songs from Scar Symmetry pick the title that interests you: Ghost Prototype I - Measurement of Thought Ghost prototype II - Deus Ex Machina(this song is very good! i can't recomend you enough, the outro is godly) The ilusionist Slaves to the subliminal morphogenesis Oscilation point Chaosweaver The Iconoclast.
Have you reacted to soilwork? They have some great song from the first two albums and some later albums. And please listen to Terror 2000 back with attack attack or flesh fiever fiesta.
please what is your intro music? Another youtuber sounds like he uses a similar riff that lasts longer but it sounds like the same chords being played.
Please listen to disarmonia mundi-celestial furnace. Same singer as scar symmetrys original. Still Love their first promo song when Christian hits that high note.
Didn't know there was metal in Sweden. You have now been introduced to some of the best metal in the world. And they mostly come from Sweden. Check our soilwork. Over ten albums and you can see them change from the beginning of their careers to today.
You do know Christian was the only singer in the band right he left the band and they had to get two singers to do what Christian could do by himself he’s the best clean/ death vocals around.
Great band - try Morphogenesis, The Illusionist, The Anomaly, and Limits to Infinity next
Sweden and Metal are synonyms.
Max Rebo more like just 2 halves of the same brain!
Amazing band, great clean vocals
You can't go wrong with anything off scar symmetry's album pitch black progress imo, especially the song kaleidoscopic god. \m/

Great band! Although they haven't been the same since the original vocalist left. Christian is a great vocalist and has an amazing range, screaming and singing wise. You should check out his current band. I recommend Solution 45 - Gravitational Lensing.
Josh Grooves original vocalist was superb but I think they are firm in what they have. Old and new scar symmetry is good for me
Wow is the Solution 45 vocalist the original Scar Symmetry dude? Never knew that, both awesome bands!
Koroar Yes! And I agree!
I'll agree to disagree. Their latest album "The Singularity (Phase I: Neohumanity)" competes and overtakes some of their older works in my opinion. The style has changed a bit sure, but it now fits how the new vocalists sound, and oh boy do they sound amazing.

The music is still pretty good, but the clean vocals are laughable to me. I can't get past them.
Deviate From The Form is a good one but can't top this masterpiece!
Guitarist Per Nilsson is incredible and there drummer is a beast...Scar Symmetry are amazing!!!
Hell yes Ruben!!!
You should react to their songs Morphogenesis, Ghost Prototype II, The Illusionist, Obscure Alliance, and Chaosweaver.
I second this list
Try this one !! "the kaleidoscopic god" of SCAR SYMMETRY
Great song, love this band. Always thought this song (at least the beginning) may be influenced by Devin Townsend. This is one of my favorite tracks from them for sure. Cheers man! \,,/
A criminally underrated band, To-mera, is one that you should try, should you fancy metal with a big jazz mix. Deep Inside is a great song from them!

Fucking love these guys and this song especially! Good choice!
Holy shit, FINALLY! For your next "Scar Symmetry" reaction I suggest "The Illusionist": Lowlife Media music video. Just for a great introduction to them in appearance.

Didn't know there was metal in Sweden. You have now been introduced to some of the best metal in the world. And they mostly come from Sweden. Check our soilwork. Over ten albums and you can see them change from the beginning of their careers to today.
borknagar- winter thrice
React to Susperia
FYI, the guitar player might be the best in the world.
Scar Symmetry is awesome up to the point where the clean vocals kick in.
They don't mesh.
You do know Christian was the only singer in the band right he left the band and they had to get two singers to do what Christian could do by himself he’s the best clean/ death vocals around.
Autotuned melodic vocals.... barf!
Yep, Alvestam always do that, but you should search some live videos.
