She just stands there, no pretense, no show biz, no pneumatic body parts on display, and unleashes that Voice....and it goes straight to my heart. Thank you Linda.
Linda Ronstadt had one of the strongest female voices that I’ve ever heard in my lifetime. Her delivery was just flawless. Still have chill bumps even after the video ended 5 minutes ago!❤
I'm a huge and vocal fan. Because I profess my love of her music, I often run into people who don't like her. A boyfriend told me she was shrill and he can't stand to hear her voice. I was shocked!
It's telling in a way... but first, Linda Ronstadt was THE female star back in the 70s, beautiful, amazing singer, and amazing person. Take a look now and see her beautiful face at 1:05 in the vid with very little make up, clothes that were not a ridiculous costume showing, well way too much, and singing with an all natural voice. No wonder all us guys loved her. Nuf said.
Other girl singers bore me to death. Linda Ronstadt remains in constant rotation for me. Great tunes, great bands, joy and sorrow, rockin' and crooning- there is so much in her music catalog. Here she's bringing on the heartache. Real, clear and authentic. Sigh...
That's gonna be the best thing I've watched today! A master performance, Linda cut through the superb band with her voice was perfection 👌, oh and that gravel in the vocal omfg!
@@Drutato Ed Black - steel, Richard Bowden - guitar, Mike Bowden - bass and I’m pretty sure that’s Mickey McGee - drums. They’re not Swampwater but came after.
the pedal steel gives it a different tone, more "country" than the original version with the harpsichord, but the beautiful, powerful voice is still the same
There's only one Linda Ronstadt. She's my favorite female singer of all time !

Perfection always ❤
Just have to chime in that I couldn't agree more.
And she sings with all her clothes on!!! Imagine that!!!! Her songs and her voice are pure magic.
It was my Mom who brought Linda Ronstadt into the house.
She liked the music, and I liked the album covers.
Glorious pipes. Strength and warmth. No one did heartbreak like Linda. We believed every note.
She is every note ❤️😊
I loved everything about this performance, the setting the lighting the arrangement and especially Linda’s voice being impeccable ❤️ what a woman
I think that almost everybody loves Linda Ronstadt! She is certainly the most important female singer of all times and she deserves all our caress.

@tjwash2 your BF needs a hearing test!
i've been listening to this song for 45 years, and even today when she hits that last "thing i know" it still send a chill up my spine
Ooof, this beautiful song always invokes such sadness ~ deep feelings. Linda could sure pull us in & take us along on her journey.
Will never listen to this song again without crying. Thanks a lot The Last of Us....
Us too. what a scene
... same here. The tears are falling as I write this looking at Bill & Frank as my PC wallpaper.
Been in love with Linda over 50 years.
Me too!!!!
the pedal steel replacing the string section is so interesting. what a different flavor it gives
I really prefer it. I always found the strings too saccharine.
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. Oh yes and Excellent!
I am falling in love with Linda!
Her self titled album cover from 1971 was simply mesmerizing. And Hasten Down the Wind needs no commentary.
The guy in the yellow front...is mesmerized by her......as I am all these decades.
👏👏🎉Linda's kicking it!❤
Age 75 here. Still takes my breath away.
71 and a half
Heartbreaking and uplifting, some songs are made for certain singers. Perfection
I'm 73 in 2024 as I post this. The weekly TV show " The Midnight Special" was must see TV back in the day. To this day I still love my gal Linda. ❤
Truly amazing performance. Pure talent, just music.
I heard this song growing up in the 90’s on my moms old tapes. It is our song❤
Powerful vocal. Hauntingly beautiful song 🎶
Absolute top shelf. 🔥
Timeless , Beauty & What a voice.. ❤
Thank you Midnight Special.
if this performance doesn't put a tear in your eye. you have no heart and soul.
I remember this song when I was 7 years old. Linda's voice was soooooo beautiful ❤️

Yes indeed.
She is a Goddess.
Nobody could tug at your heart like Ms. Ronstadt. Thank you.
Oh beautiful song
Wow just wow
Just beautiful
There are two kinds of men in this world.....Those who had a crush on Linda Ronstadt, and those who never heard of her.
Willie Nelson said "those who were in love with her and those who were dead."
She sang so naturally, no effort and any style, folk, Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, rock...all of it superb. So tragic she was stuck by Parkinson's.
Beautiful... ❤️
My favorite Linda Ronstadt song.
Thank you for sharing! 💖
Linda Ronstadt is the best. 💗
My life's story love is always in vain 4 me thank God he watches over me
❤❤❤ Linda Ronstadt.
Love wounds can come from spouses, relatives, friends, or church friends you loved and trusted.
Que bella y su voz mágica .
Ninguém canta essa música como ela. Que mulher incrível.

This needs more views!
Have you ever checked other notable people with your birthday? She's mine❤.
Mine is Marlene Dietrich.

'Eagles'- one of the greatest backing bands... )
But it is not the Eagles players backing her on this Midnight Special performance. Does anyone know who the players are backing her on this show?

เสียง Padel steel นั้น ยิ่งทำให้เข้ากับเพลง ช้า คนเล่นต้องเก่งมาก
Back when women were strong but feminine. No jumping up and down squawking about “where my fone….”
Needs some autotune.
And some cowbell
