I have 2 of these. I find them to be way more useful than GoPros which I also have. Being able to frame your shot and view it immediately is a great plus.
great reveiw mate hey how long does the battery last for recording? and how long does it take to recharge? , can l recharge it out on a boat eg use the usb on the cameraand plug it into a usb cigarette 12 volt charger? would like to buy one but i need to record whole fishing trips and edit videos out on the river on site? maybe l will buy 2 of these so when one goes flat the other is charging

Great camera. I uploaded over 500 videos on youtube. The problem I have now is that if I film inside say a low lighting place or when the sun goes down the video or the photo is dark. Where is the flash for this camera?
Hi Dave, great review. I have the Zx3 and was curious of the changes in the new model. The shock proofing and the user interface are nice improvments, From your Vlogs made with this camera I see that the video quality is a little better too, mainly because the 'wobble' issue seems less of a problem. Nice one! ...Try it underwater, it great fun!!

Hi mate, really nice review - clear and concise :) I was wondering if you could answer a couple of questions for me. What would be the maximum length of footage at 720p 60fps using the 32gb card? And do you think I could mount this and capture some decent footage of a badminton game? If not could you recommend something similar that might do the job?
My father found one in the trash, (he works at a garbage company, and he also found a PS2!) and gave it to me, as it’s screen is cracked. But that’s all that’s wrong with it! It came with a 32gb microsd card in a microsd to SD adapter!
I can't get mine to record in 720p/60 always switches to wvga by it's self ?? What happens is when I set it to 720p/60 , when I save the setting it stays until you turn the camera off. Then when I turn it back on it has changed to WVGA ! Weird . Guess I'll have to NOT shut it off when putting it in 720p/60 mode.
Can I ask if this camera has any like charging problems? I had the previous version and I had to throw it away probably a year later because it literally would not charge. The battery replacement didn't work either.

@Xtratozorz there is great improvement between the zx1 and zx5 in hat aspect. go onto the channel he mentioned in the video where he did a vlog using the zx5 and you'll see
this seems remarkably similar to the JVC picsio gc-wp10 which is also 1080p hd and 3m waterproof. Do you recommend i get either of them? or do you know of a better competitor? I also wanted to ask if the JVC picsio gc-wp10 has an audio in jack and a tripod stand. Thanks a lot! BullGBR PS. I intend to use the camera for video reconding on bikes

@davomrmac I'd like to buy kodak sooo much,but here in Croatia there's only zx3.If I order it online it will cost me much more due to custom and shipping fees gotta find a way to get it before summer :(

How is the battery life? I like the Zi8 because you can swap out batteries but on the Zx5 you can't so I'd like to know how long the battery lasts.

Here stateside kodak discontinued making them and also no support. I bought mine 10 years ago.

Super review...much more expensive today than when I purchased mine about 3 years ago.

Yes with this camera you will receive a usb cable with a removable wall charger, so you can charge on the computer or in a wall outlet.
