    Jeri! I treasure your videos! They bring me such joy! Mr. Peabody is regal! I planted a raised zinnia garden bed for the first time after seeing yours, you so inspired me, and it is just beautiful! I tried to post a picture but i am not sure how, thank you so much for the beauty you bring to this world!

      That is so nice to hear! Thank you so much.
      I'm pretty sure you will never be without Zinnias from now on. In fact, they will be dropping their seeds everywhere and next year you'll be amazed that you don't have to replant them.

    Hi, I'm new to your channel and I am hooked!! I love everything, you are so talented. You can see how much you love creating. I'm from Pa. zone 5 in the city. I also love to garden and repurpose anything I get my hands on ;), but your garden and ideas blow me away. I wish the city would allow us to have chickens, I'd be happy with 2. Thanks, Diane

      Hi Diane, thanks for your delightful comment! A lot of cities are allowing homeowners to keep 2 or 3 hens these days, check with your county, you may be able to get a few. They are amusing little characters

    Hello Jeri. I love your wattle fencing. In the Spring I plan to build one in my yard. I am interested in your rustic pergola. Can you tell me how I can make one of those? I have plenty of woods on my property in New Jersey...I would love to have one in my yard. Thank you for inspiring me and all who watch your videos. I cannot wait for winter to be over and Spring arrives! I have the Hobby Gardener’s Itch !

    • @JeriLandersofHopalongHollow
      @JeriLandersofHopalongHollow  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Shauna lee, My husband and I hauled cedar trees from the woods, a lot of them! We sunk the upright poles about 2 ft down. Cut the uprights so they are all even across the top. James then notched the top of each pole so the horizontals would saddle nicely on them, nail them in. The Connecting poles on the top are simply laid across your frame and secured with nails. It's really pretty simple. The most difficult part is getting the wood!

    Jeri, beautiful basket garden. Love the lazy dog sleeping while Mr. Peabody struts his stuff. How long does the basket weave last? Thanks!

    • @JeriLandersofHopalongHollow
      @JeriLandersofHopalongHollow  4 года назад

      It really depends on the kind of wood you use. If you have hazel or willow, the fence can last a few years. I use Mulberry and mine need to be replaced each year.

    What are your primary winter interest plants?

    • @JeriLandersofHopalongHollow
      @JeriLandersofHopalongHollow  5 лет назад

      Ash, We don't have much in the way of winter interest plants, so I rely on garden ornaments and statuary. We have some Holly, Evergreens, Privet and boxwood, that;s it!
