Actually, Air Raid is based off an F-14 Tomcat, not an F-15. The variable-sweep wings are a dead giveaway. This makes him a distant cousin, twice removed, of a Macross Valkyrie! Woot!
Air Raid is my favorite of the deluxe Aerialbots, too. He just has so much personality.
Besides sliverbolt, none of the aerial bots have personality.
NickonAquaMagna What are your thoughts on AB? Just curious, since you're not likely to do videos on it.

I think the others manage to have a surprising amount of character, including Alpha Bravo. Air Raid is just the most endearing to me, with his modest frame, clean colors and "working Autobot" sorta face.
In g1 cartoon the they barely spoke ,there heads were different from the toys ,and look a superior and try to indentify his limbs
Kinda bummed we're not getting a Superion review from the sound of it. Very excited to see Vangelus move onto the Stunticons and Protectobots as they are becoming easier to find on the open market now.
Fin it up, fin it down, you can fin all round. Feet it up, arm it up, it's your toy-ee. XD
You forgot to mention that both him and sky dive also shares the combiner peg
Nice review, but one error. It's not even remotely like an F-15 Eagle, which was his G1 alt mode. This turns into an F-14 Tomcat, what's the model jet that had those moving wings.

Finally got my air raid this week. Already managed to get quickslinger online beforehand. So superion is complete and looks awesome. Did you get the perfect effect upgrade set?

noonethatspecial Well, technically they don't swing out as they would on a real F-14, just so they can point up with the nose for his other modes...
F-15 = Starscream, F-14 = Air Raid

I have the G2 set. You don't need to mention the problem with Slingshot I know all about it. Mine is in better shape then some I've seen…..cries.
