Andre Iguodala breaks down Luka Doncic's performance vs. Celtics | Dan Patrick Show | NBC Sports
/ nbcsports Спорт
Refs get tired of him. They let him push off on every single play, then he berates them qhen he doesn't get a foul.
Luka was like Bridezilla last night, he acts like he’s bigger than the game.
Luka is like a pyramid scheme. All anyone can do is look at the top and see how successful it is but the bottom half of the pyramid is slow, broken, and can’t support the Top of the pyramid.
The nba and media has spoiled him now it’s just coming to light
@@kiddsoysnmedia has never spoiled him else he would have 2 mvps
Its called eliteism
@@kiddsoysn💯💯💯
Andre he’s the real deal, solid solid dude
Andre is sooo good dissectin basketball and dodging the mediatic side of the questions... no hate, no agenda, only high IQ analysis!
I originally had Celtics in 7. Boy was I wrong. But I'm mature enough to admit my mistake. 😎
You would have been more mature if you didn't mention how mature you were. Grow up.
@@heybro6105 Someone's sour about my joke. 😎
The best part of the game was when Luca fouled out
Hadn't heard Andre talk before. I am impressed with his comments.
So. What.
1. Conditioning, 2. Role players aren't there, 3. Maturity. This 2023/24 Celtics are an historically good team. If they sweep, it'll be one of the greatest regular season/playoff runs in history. Like, top 10, maybe top 5.
Not even top 10 ..😂😭 y’all know the history or y’all just started watching basketballl.. Kmt
@@Recklesskeelzname the 10 better..
If they sweep it'll be the first time a team sweep the conf finals and finals so yes a top ten team for sure
@@goblinfn4461 Ooh…. Nothing but crickets after that haymaker.
It is Kyrie's fault Boston is playing like a madman, Luka has nothing to do with it.
There is no hiding place for Luka😅
What happened to the best backcourt ever.. Luka magic happened he made it disappear
They haven't even hit 100 points in the finals...they definitely were prisoners of the moment
It’s Luka and Kyrie show. Name one other player on that roster that starts on a playoff team.
@@scapegoat413Yet with such 'knowledge', y'all were so cocksure that they were going to beat Boston before the series started. Despite Kyrie just 2 yrs before this also got swept and pocketed to such a huge extent by a worse version of Boston team while playing with KD 😂
Great interview and he seems like a class act.
Luka's single child upbringing comes out when Dallas does not need it.
💯
According to Ben Taylor at Thinking Basketball, his tracking database had Luka with more defensive breakdowns than almost anyone else in the history of the tracking era in game 2. He’s obviously hurt and gassed, but he cannot afford to be the complete hole on defense that he’s been.
That sounds brutal. Do you have link?
@@user-nu7on8ob4mespn showed the stats earlier today he was getting blown by 67% of attempts, he was the leader all time the top 3 were Luka, Luka and Luka in that stat lol
@@manimal9871 Yeah I saw that, had a chuckle. Luka's concrete feet remind me of an aging Carmelo Anthony, with one foot out of the league.
@user-nu7on8ob4m imagine how bad his defense will be on his mid 30s
Yes he's too hurt to play defense
Andre’s right, the Celtics are just better. Whatever the Mavs throw at them they can cope with it. They stay calm, they keep believing so even that early deficit, being behind 13 points then having a 21 point lead reduced to 1 but they never panicked. Just keep playing.
That's the benefit of having the same core for so long you've been in these situations before and this time they can be the more experienced team like the warriors were when they beat them
@@TheInferno0099 totally, there’s that trust in each other & everyone knows each others game, capabilities & they know they can recover when things go wrong. In some ways you have to fail at the top level in order to win at the top level. Find out why you didn’t win the Finals & put it right.
Luka is already one of if not the best offensive player in the NBA. However, as everyone has seen in the Finals his individual defense leaves a lot to be desired. The Celtics have played 4 on 5 on many offensive transitions because Luka is complaining to the ref at the other end of the floor or on his back waiting for a foul to be called.
With 10:41 left in the game, Luka had 3 fouls.
He quit on them.
Luka and Kyrie got the Mavs to go a long way but Boston is a better "team". What is so difficult to comprehend?
It didn't matter who came out the west. It's the Celtics year. They're just the best team this year.
Mavs should hire Iguodala as an assistant coach
A LOT of teams would like him as an assistant coach. I doubt he'd be interested because he seems to enjoy being an entrepreneur and podcaster.
Luka "Frankenstein feet" Doncic can't stop a nose bleed right now.
how about a spoiled brat?
Actually, that was a great defensive play. It was clearly a charge!
😂 you don't know basketball
@@jamesbancroft3216 Yes, I do. Played it all my life. Offensive player changed direction and charged into a staionary Luka.
Luka was injured, still the best player in the world. Prisoners of the moment
If you listen to any podcast with former NBA players they all say the same thing. Luka can’t get beat (pause) on a straight line drive. Those defensive breakdowns are really hurting Dallas.
If you watched Gil’s podcast this is exactly what they were talking about even breaking down tape when it happens
Yea once you get pass him it's 5 on 4 and it's either a drop off pass or swing swing shot for 3 cause Luka never gets back in the play
As a Laker fan and an intense Kobe fanatic, Kobe did the same thing. Kobe was a great two-way play, though.
It's never Luka's fault when he messes up, it's gotta be because he was fouled...he's one of those players...ego so fragile that he has to throw others under the bus, ;lack of accountability
He is Lebron 2.0
I’ve never seen him throw anybody under the bus . I hate his on court crying like a baby constantly but I’ve never seen him throw anybody under the bus. He’s 25 , so I can easily see him growing
People told me a few weeks ago luka has played good defense this season really, really, really....
You’re asking him to run back on D and pick up his assignment. If he does that it saves 6-8 points a game.
Luka doesnt know that in basketball u need to have a good defense 😅😂😊
Andre is way too nice to say the truth about Luka. "Give me five seconds of defense," is pretty funny tho.
Luka = Euro Harden...
Yup exactly
Mavs aren’t in a hole because of Luka. They have had like 3 other players through three games score more than 10 points. He has almost zero support and it’s gotta be frustrating. I’m a celts fan so I’m looking forward to the sweet
If Andre was on Dallas team they would stand a pretty decent chance in the Finals. However the Celtics are too talented of a team at the moment!!!
With the fate of the world on the line……
if boston fans let dallas play and just cheer for their team, we can see a good match up between this 2 teams.
Soffttt! 😂😂
Gilbert Arenas was right
The differences between teams is huge. Luka is great, but hurt. Kyrie had a nice season but he’s not putting up prime 2nd option numbers. Mavs bench is meh
Celtics too fast
Funny everyone waiting this moment to jump into the train against Luka. How did Dallas come to the final again ? Where was Kyrie the 2 first games lol
There role players showed up In the previous matchups now they can't hit a wide open shot to save their life
@@MikeLoveThyselfThey don't get a lot of those. You act like Boston oftentimes double/trapping Luka when they play him one on one most of the time. They know at best he's a 30-ish% 3pt shooter (unlike Curry) so math wise they would love to take their chance knowing he would miss most of those shots despite getting his 20+ or 30+ points game 😂
The reason Boston is playing so rough is because of Kyrie, Luka has nothing to do with anything!!!
Boston having those 2 big athletic guards its whats killing the Mavs, they cant guard them, and on top of that Jrue playing killer defense on Kyrie. Finally, lets be honest, Luka looking chubby out there relying too much on his talent instead of taking care of his body.
Kyrie was 4/5 on him yesterday. 2/6 against White and Horford. 1/3 against Tillman. That's why I kinda hate narratives-driven discourse without proper facts to back them up. It's not a dig to Jrue cos he's a good defender regardless. But this notion like Kyrie gets stopped by him when pretty much everybody else on his team did well against him (not just him) is soo wrong and cap 😂
@@judyclarkson5887 man thats simply because Jrue guarded him the most, those stats dont matter if he cant get a shot off
I know Luka complains a lot but a lot of the calls he got were very questionable, especially the 6th foul, considering what Boston gets away with. Perhaps it's because they're elite defenders but they do often push what's allowed with blocking/reaching fouls.
What?! He should have gotten 6 fouls earlier with as much he pushes off people of the dribble to get separation
Offensively Celtics involve everyone if you look at The Mavs First Half it’s Luka and Kyrie trying to iso everything .
I seen Luke Take 5 attempts in a row without moving the ball your never going to Win games like that.
Luka is great but not perfect. Every superstar needs to go through the gauntlet before they win. People said Jordan was too selfish to win until he got better teammates. Luka will be back.
Until the triangle took the ball out of his hands*
the reality its all kyrie fault because of game 1 and 2. he let those boston fans get to his head affect his game, that cause for the team also get affected including luka.luka get frustrated we can see in his games.
In reality that's a great excuse, but Boston is just much better and proving it.
I love watching Luka but he spends his energy on offense and naps on defense or he does not have the quickness to play against some people.
He is the new steph
Steph isn't a bad defender though.
more like the new James Harden. 99% offense, 1% defense. Plus same # of rings.
Well then, he needs to find a way to win just like Steph.
Luka is tired so is Kyrie defense is to much
LUKA#77 .. AND THE JOKER#15 .. ARE GREAT PLAYERS .. BUT THEY BOTH ARE BELOW AVERAGE DEFENDERS .. AND THAT DISQUALIFIES THEM FOR BEING THE BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA 🏀 .. IN MY OPINION ..
Two weeks ago Luka was the best player in the entire world according to some.
@@Dustyphoto915and we all know who that some is😂😂😂
Who is the best player?
@@lenzoltan no one. It’s a stupid narrative question anyway. And it’s only asked because there are now international players in the NBA.
One of the most disappointing finals in recent memory thats forsure
Luka doing his best Lebron impression with all that complaining!
The finals MVP trophy that Andre Iguodala has belongs to LeBron James and everybody knows it they allow Jerry West to win the MVP trophy been on a losing team in the same should have happened for LeBron

This series is about Kyrie showing up and Luka is showing his frustration qith lack of support by self sabotaging. They are attacking Luka because of his knee injury. He wiil be offensive but they will force him to be defensive, both sides of the game to wear him down.
Just like Tatum, Luka is at his worst lying on the ground after a miss arms outstrectched and looking for a call.
His getting hacked and fouled all the time. What are you gonna let police officers violate rights with no complaints
Hacked and bullied like Michael Jordan was by the Pistons.
Did MJ cry and point fingers?
No, he hit the gym in the off season and came back swoll.
Luka needs to:
get in shape
stop blaming the refs
@@Jus10r0b and grow up.
Kyrie scored 12 points in game 1. Kyrie scored 16 points in game 2. THJ, Gafford, Maxi, Green, and Exum scored 13 points together in game 3. But racist sports media is acting like Luka went 0/0/0 throughout the playoffs. American media’s hatred for Luka is unprecedented. That’s the real story. Why does American media hate Luka?
I agree. It's wild
Same old tired stuff. I'll tell you like I told you on another channel where you tried to talk race. It's nothing to do with racist media because nobody has this problem with Jokic. Maybe because Jokic doesn't try to dribble dribble dribble on one end and do nothing but foul on the other end.
Luca, as good as he is. offensively he's pudgy he can't keep up with real quick Wing players which the Boston Celtics have in abundance. Kyrie Irving is past his prime and he cannot deal with the length that Boston has in abundance as well at the perimeter.
Kyrie was very effective last night, the Mavericks are outmatched and Luka is a defensive liability to the entire team they all have to cover and close out for him.
Cut the crap kyrie can score against anybody any length he’s that skilled… he wasn’t being as aggressive in games 1-2 and wasn’t getting to his usual spots. He was taking very weird and unusual shots in games 1-2. Game 3 lastnight he pick his moments when to pull the trigger or drive
@@Recklesskeelz Any chance the defenders were moving him off his usual spots in games 1 and 2? hence the awful shooting. hence he actually can't score against everybody all the time?
@@Recklesskeelz6/19 in game 1 and 7/18 in game 2 and somehow he's not aggressive. Y'all love suck1ng on Kyrie so much when he's only had one or two good playoffs runs in his whole career and that's all happened when Lebron was his teammate. I mean, even 'Scary Terry' took them Boston further when Kyrie was injured and didn't play in 2018 playoffs than when he played in 2019 and they got mauled 4-1 by Bucks in 2019 playoffs. Dude got swept with Durant playing against a worse version of Boston team as well just 2 yrs ago. But somehow everybody's still clinging on that one success of him in 2016 and act like he rarely gets stopped when it's actually happened so often in the playoffs 😂
