    1. Conditioning, 2. Role players aren't there, 3. Maturity. This 2023/24 Celtics are an historically good team. If they sweep, it'll be one of the greatest regular season/playoff runs in history. Like, top 10, maybe top 5.

    According to Ben Taylor at Thinking Basketball, his tracking database had Luka with more defensive breakdowns than almost anyone else in the history of the tracking era in game 2. He’s obviously hurt and gassed, but he cannot afford to be the complete hole on defense that he’s been.

    Andre’s right, the Celtics are just better. Whatever the Mavs throw at them they can cope with it. They stay calm, they keep believing so even that early deficit, being behind 13 points then having a 21 point lead reduced to 1 but they never panicked. Just keep playing.

    Luka is already one of if not the best offensive player in the NBA. However, as everyone has seen in the Finals his individual defense leaves a lot to be desired. The Celtics have played 4 on 5 on many offensive transitions because Luka is complaining to the ref at the other end of the floor or on his back waiting for a foul to be called.

    If you listen to any podcast with former NBA players they all say the same thing. Luka can’t get beat (pause) on a straight line drive. Those defensive breakdowns are really hurting Dallas.

    The differences between teams is huge. Luka is great, but hurt. Kyrie had a nice season but he’s not putting up prime 2nd option numbers. Mavs bench is meh

They know at best he's a 30-ish% 3pt shooter (unlike Curry) so math wise they would love to take their chance knowing he would miss most of those shots despite getting his 20+ or 30+ points game 😂

    Boston having those 2 big athletic guards its whats killing the Mavs, they cant guard them, and on top of that Jrue playing killer defense on Kyrie. Finally, lets be honest, Luka looking chubby out there relying too much on his talent instead of taking care of his body.

      Kyrie was 4/5 on him yesterday. 2/6 against White and Horford. 1/3 against Tillman. That's why I kinda hate narratives-driven discourse without proper facts to back them up. It's not a dig to Jrue cos he's a good defender regardless. But this notion like Kyrie gets stopped by him when pretty much everybody else on his team did well against him (not just him) is soo wrong and cap 😂

    I know Luka complains a lot but a lot of the calls he got were very questionable, especially the 6th foul, considering what Boston gets away with. Perhaps it's because they're elite defenders but they do often push what's allowed with blocking/reaching fouls.

    This series is about Kyrie showing up and Luka is showing his frustration qith lack of support by self sabotaging. They are attacking Luka because of his knee injury. He wiil be offensive but they will force him to be defensive, both sides of the game to wear him down.

    Kyrie scored 12 points in game 1. Kyrie scored 16 points in game 2. THJ, Gafford, Maxi, Green, and Exum scored 13 points together in game 3. But racist sports media is acting like Luka went 0/0/0 throughout the playoffs. American media’s hatred for Luka is unprecedented. That’s the real story. Why does American media hate Luka?

    Luca, as good as he is. offensively he's pudgy he can't keep up with real quick Wing players which the Boston Celtics have in abundance. Kyrie Irving is past his prime and he cannot deal with the length that Boston has in abundance as well at the perimeter.

      Cut the crap kyrie can score against anybody any length he’s that skilled… he wasn’t being as aggressive in games 1-2 and wasn’t getting to his usual spots. He was taking very weird and unusual shots in games 1-2. Game 3 lastnight he pick his moments when to pull the trigger or drive

Y'all love suck1ng on Kyrie so much when he's only had one or two good playoffs runs in his whole career and that's all happened when Lebron was his teammate. I mean, even 'Scary Terry' took them Boston further when Kyrie was injured and didn't play in 2018 playoffs than when he played in 2019 and they got mauled 4-1 by Bucks in 2019 playoffs. Dude got swept with Durant playing against a worse version of Boston team as well just 2 yrs ago. But somehow everybody's still clinging on that one success of him in 2016 and act like he rarely gets stopped when it's actually happened so often in the playoffs 😂
