- Arthur Scott Jr., the suspect charged with murder, rape, and kidnapping in connection to a homicide in north Columbus on Friday, appeared in court on Monday morning. At the arraignment, the judge said she was about to cry after hearing an emotional statement from the victim's husband and that in her time, she had never seen a crime as hideous.

After the verdict has been handed down judges give their summastions all the time. So you are incorrect.

Wah! Wah! She is human just like you. Having emotions doesn’t mean she is biased… Judges aren’t immune from having emotions. They aren’t robots.
Where it gets sketchy is if she called the defendant a monster or made a remark about his race.
However, she is just stating a fact of the crime. It was horrid.

Do you expect the judge to be a robot? She is only ruling on bond, if she were picked to be the trial judge she may wish to recuse herself, but I don't see being a human affected by a heinous crime to be a reason that she can't sit in judgement in this case.
