I would recommend too the sword from Ars. You can place spells on that thing so you can use Cold Snap with Amplify II/III and give slowness III to an enemy, the effect is better than the one from Ice and Fire 'cause you can see that they move a liiiittle bit, with Cold Snap with Amplify they DON'T move, not even an inch.
And on top of that, you can place AoE and make the sword an AoE sword and stop waves of enemies with one swing. Ars Sword is pretty underestimated and really really powerful for a Sword that you can make pretty early on the game. I would say it's better than Iron Club for how much QoL it gives and being AoE.
yeah, unfortunately I never tried the Ars gear so my knowledge there is really lacking lol. I will definitely look into Ars gear next time I play rad2 in like 6 months lol
Old comment but I’m new and wanted to try this out. What is the best order to put the spells? Is it (harm, cold snap, slowness, and then amplify) in that order? Would appreciate a response ty 😄
based on my limited knowledge of Ars: I think it would be cold snap > amplify > slow. I hope you figured it out!
I forgot to say in the video: if you need Mending enchant, GO TO THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! almost all of the dungeons in the end have a very high chance to have mending gear in treasure chests!
ender mending from random dungeons is my best friend in the overworld

Yes OR!!!!! What I did was go into the mod file, scrips and deleted villagertrade.zx (something like that) and you can just get villagers to trade them ‼️

Great guide thanks! I’ve managed to get a male and female dragon of each type, so breeding them up to farm dragons to finish off the final dragon forge. It’s certainly been a grind!
nice! yeah getting dragonslayer 15 is not fun, but you feel it's so worth it when you get that dragonsteel finally lol

Unrelated to the video but a tip for all rad 2 players: if u guys ever find one of those mushroom mountain things with a bunch of zombies and skeletons in them kill everyone. The leather armor that drops from the mobs gives u prot 8, and u can disenchant it to put it on ur armor it’s super op.

starting to play this with my boyfriend and a lot of these mods I'm not familiar with. this is really helpful! I'm trying to learn about it without spoiling too much. but this pack is hard if you don't know what you're doing, and dying often breaks the immersion
yeah rad2 is pretty overwhelming in the beginning. after a while you will realize it's actually pretty simple. and don't feel obligated to use every mod in the modpack, I didn't use most of them lol. I hope you guys enjoy your playthrough!

This is great! I wish the wiki for the mod had some type of progression guide. I think it’s very discombobulating trying to learn the mod pack because there is so many mods

Also u can find incomplete dragon forge in the mausoleum, that would help a lot to make the dragon steel gears

Mending shows up a lot in overworld loot dungeons on the second to last and last levels lol i was having a blast when i figured that out
oh nice, they must have changed that. because in older versions you pretty much had to go to the End

nah I'm done with rad2 for now, maybe when I return to rad2 I will make a magic guide.

I have gotten Ameliorated series, Spartan Weapon and Vorpal enchants from fishing so there are other routes to earn these books.

I haven't gotten too far in the video but my best early game weapon was a Diamond Spear with Spartan Weapon 11 and Combo Star 2. I used that all through the overworld and the nether and will likely be using this same weapon when I get to the End
I suggest that you get a (I THINK it's called this) tome of disenchant. It's crafted with blaze powder and other materials so if it's not called a tome of disenchantment you can search through the things you can craft with blaze powder. Anyway the thing that a tome of disenchantment does is it takes ALL the enchants off an item without using any levels or destroying the item that has it's enchants removed. You could do this and put those enchants on a better weapon

armor progression guide: use w/e armor until level 40 endurance > get mending from End > farm affixes from wizard towers/drops > put mending + tons of armor affixes on diamond armor > congratulations, you can't die now. 😁
Hi. I just got into Atum,but unlike your videos i have like a sanstorm effect all the time, and can't see sh*t. Is there equipment or something to remove this effect? I tried to look around on the wiki but couldn't find anything.
yeah I think you have to make some desert goggles or something, I don't remember... I think the sandstorm effect is lessened cuz I use shaders or something, idk
Heya Deo, i've been playing this mod for a couple days now and i'm playing on the current newest version 1.4 in multiplayer.
I've noticed the storage system is kind of completly gone, do you happen to know an alternative or how to solve the problem so i can use the storage system?
people said the new storage mod is pretty good on rad2.
tbh if I went back and played rad2, I would prolly just reinstall simple storage mod lol
An underrated weapon from rad 2 i used in my playthrough is the enchanter's sword. You can slap a freeze and cold snap spell on it and you can get a dollar store ice dragonsteel sword but the slow does damage and is AoE. Mobs CANT touch you if you hit them first
Forgot to add it repairs itself with mana*
If it has the freezing enchant you can remove the freeze and just add cold snap and save on some mana😊

Hey man love your content but do you have any advice for fighting dragons I had full dragon armor with an ancient chest plate protection 5, unbreaking 5, and mending etc and the durability gets destroyed during a level 5 dragon fight I can’t finish without healing my armor. I even have affixes on them, Sadly it broke my ancient chest plate. Keep up the great content!
yeah you need to go to the end and farm mending enchants on all your armor + use a xp tank backpack so your gear never gets broken. also put on unbreaking just to be extra sure lol, that's what I did.
I have a question, I've been trying to download RAD 2 but I have windows 7 and I can't download curse forge, and if I download the mod through the .ZIP file, when I extract it in to a folder, almost nothing comes out, it don't even download the folder mod or configuration, do you know if there is any other page or something (I can't twitch app either because of windows 7 and Tlauncher lets me but I want to use my official launcher). sorry for my english, Im using basicli the googles traducor.

the map trick doesnt seem to work for me, cave layers arent updated when i set it to y 30 and layered mode
interesting. I don't know what it could be, because I play with almost default map settings (besides disabled wp icons and no radar)
the bauble and trinket have durability but i have read somewhere you can make it unbreakable, how to do that?
I'm not sure how to do that. I think you can put unbreaking or something on the trinkets?
great vid i just have a question on the sword how have you managed to get 14 enchantements the max my swords can do is 10 and i have the dragonsteel sword that you find from ice dungeons
maybe they changed the max enchant limit in recent patches? in old versions of rad2 (when I used to play) the max limit was 15 enchants
Hello, i have a little question, how do you get Sharpness / slayer and spartan weapon on the same scythe ? I can't do it in the anvil and can't find a way to do it like you :c
Is magical blade enchant good too? It seems to add a lot more dmg compared to several other enchants.
I have no idea, it probably is super good if it ignores armor. I never got that enchant unfortunately 😕
I'm having trouble finding the dread knights in mausoleums in my world any idea if that's a bug or something they changed with a patch?
Idk man, it could've been changed in a patch. go ask in the official rad2 discord and see what people say.
back when I was playing in 1.2, I would just kill monsters in the mausoleum and eventually the dread knights would spawn as well.
I’m currently new to RAD 2 and your videos but I was wondering what texture pack you use and if there’s anyway to add simple commands like

texture pack and shaders are in the description of all my rad2 videos. I would just add Dynamic Surroundings because it adds really nice ambient sounds to minecraft. 😇
as for commands, I have no idea. look for a mod that adds commands like that maybe?
Just make a warp stone and use sophisticated backpack solely to store xp so you dont use xp levels at level 70
does anyone know how to leave the tropics?? i spawned in with no portal and now im stuck. i've already tried looking on the wikis and youtube videos but nothing seems to work..
I think you have to sit on a chair and drink the pina coloda again. you could also just use a waystone I think to tp back?
How can you have so many hearts? Ive looked up on how to get more hearts, and i dont seem to find anything, ive also tried with the paragliders mod with the heart containers, but it doesnt seem like i can get them from the statues?
most of my hearts came from HP enchants + gear modifiers I believe. also the crystal heart belt trinket I think. maybe they've taken out the HP enchant since then, Idk.

I'm not really a xp farm person, so I don't know about that much. I just loaded up my gear with lots of xp enchants and killed the ender dragon or wither.

you mean the enchant or is there a weapon called blessed blade? if it's the enchant, you do it on the Beacon block as far as I know. if there's a weapon called blessed blade, I have no idea lol
In ep27 you made the ice sword and in ep 29 you explained the enchantments but i still couldn't see how you added 14 enchantments and i wanted to know if they made it impossible to do in 1.5 rad2 bc i can only add up to 10 enchantments in avil is there still a way to do 14 enchantments ?
The tom's storage wireless connection don't work too is this the problem with 1.5 rad2 version on curse forge ? should i downgrade the version ?
I made my weapons and enchanted them in older versions of rad2. they must have lowered the enchant limit in newer versions of rad2 unfortunately.
as for tom's storage, I would install simple storage mod if I were you tbh. that will allow you to have unlimited range on your remote control.
What do Light and Shadow do in Project MMO mod? I searched everywhere but haven't found any information about it xd
you need 10 shadow in order to equip dreadsteel armor. as for light, I don't remember lol.
if you do a search for "@light (or maybe #light)" in JEI, it should show the items that have light in their description.
Great video! Though, question, is there a way to setup an aternos server or any free server with rad 2? Ive been wanting to play it w my friend but aternos removed the modpack
you could always try the "Essential Mod" and play lan with your friend. I don't really know anything about running free servers for minecraft, other than running your own server on another PC you own lol

are you talking about the Lost Relics mod? if so, the default keybind for that is "R" I think...
Hey, how can I increase my Shadow stats to use the Knight sword?
craft ~400 straw effigy and you should hit level 10 shadow for Dreadsteel gear. hope you have a lot of wheat saved up 😉
Why is the ice dragon steel sword second to the dread knight when it does more damage than dread knight?
I think I was talking about the normal ice dragon sword, not the ice dragon steel one. I'll have to relisten to that part again. Ice Dragon Steel is like the best weapon in the game
I got the passenges toll but i cant teleport throught the door somehow, whys that? And i get negative Effects aswell
make sure you use the passage's toll on the blocks near the door. (don't use it on the keyhole or it will not work)
they also may have changed the functionality of passage's toll, becuz I have not played rad2 in like 2 months lol

hello do you know how to speed up dragonslayer leveling, my friend killed like 15dragons and he is still at 1.50, or maybe we are doing smth wrong, we are playing on an apex hosting server
hey if you get a sharp 10 book from a wandering trader and have a slayer 5 book which one should you place on your sword?
prolly sharp 10 man lol. you actually got good loot from a trader lol? I stopped talking to them cuz they always just sold random plants lol.
any level 10 enchant is definitely better than any other enchant that is at level 5 👀
@@Deolegion777 yeah, wandering traders last item sell is normally a piece of diamond gear with vanilla enchants of sharpness, protection, etc at a level of 5-10.

I always play Hardcore in my mc worlds. Rad 2 is honestly pretty hard compared to og Rad because you can't just get op armor and weapons by cheesing a dungeon. I like it but it's a little grindy.

yeah I agree, rad2 is fun in the beginning, but yes it gets very grindy after midgame. I'm glad you're liking it though! 🙂
Seems that the Passage's Toll no longer works to break in to that building. It takes your levels and gives you mining fatigue, nausea, etc.
yeah that's what someone was telling me. strange that they nerfed that lol. I miss rad2, I'll have to make new videos about it someday
Would you have more information on how the Blessing Blade enchantment is created? I already read the book and made the structure with the beacon but absolutely nothing happens. The only thing I have achieved is that the first book is consumed but it does not consume the objects in the other chests.
no sorry... unfortunately I had alot of OP enchants so I didn't see the need to work on Apex enchanting at all. I will definitely look into it next time I play rad2 though.

@@Deolegion777 Compared to the videos you have in previous versions, it is a little nerfed but with Apex I managed to level up books beyond the base level. Maybe that helped.

Hello im new in the mod, can someone tell me how i level up the magic, i cant get out the lvl 1
go mine the purple arcane stone or else make bombs and throw them at enemies for good magic xp. you should hit level 5 magic pretty fast with bombs.

I have no idea lol, I'm not a range person. it almost doesn't matter cuz you can cheese level archery to the point range weapons are broken lol.

How did you get the ameliorated sharpness and slayer on the same weapon??
I made that sword back before the devs made sharpness and slayer incompatible with eachother.

What are some of the best places ti fund the enchants
just play the game lol. best place I found to get OP enchants was underground vanilla minecraft dungeons that had a Apotheosis mini-boss spawner. that and treasure chest loot, I feel like those 2 gave me the best enchants. enchants that dropped off of elites were usually garbage for me. (don't forget mending enchant in End dungeon chest loot)

Sorry for the late reply! you have to kill villagers or else craft a TON of Straw Effigys. you will need like 400-500 straw effigy crafts to hit level 10 shadow for Dreadsteel. so start farming that wheat! 😉
How do I increase my shadow stat?
craft ~400ish Straw Effigy and that should get you to level 10 shadow for Dreadsteel Armor
i havent seen any videos regarding this topic but is it possible to change the Quality on my weapon? like if I has a sluggish sword could I change it to deadly?
use the material the sword is made from
what Sean said. you have to go to the smithing table and use ingots of w/e material the weapon/trinket/gear is made of to reroll the quality.

Love the Videos. Wish I could figure out why i'm doing such little damage in my RAD 2 playthrough. Level 70 combat with nethrite weapons and level 60 enchants. Doing about 15-20 damage with strong enchants to even basic mobs. Haven't entered the end or fought the wither. It's really grindy with little rewards. Makes me think the game is glitched or I have some unknown curse like in RLCraft. Makes me want to just give up on the pack.

Hello , i started playing RAD 2 because of your vids, i know you use keep inventory, so do i. The thing is that when i die in my world i lose xp , that its normal or i need to fix something with a mod?
nice, I hope you like rad2! yeah that's normal that you lose xp. you have to put your xp in a xp storage backpack and I think it will save your xp. you can also level the xp skill in corail tombstone skill tree

Fianlly found a sparten weapon 10 enchantment book, Unfortunately i think they updated the game so you cant have it with vorpal or sharpness
that's fine, take off vorpal and sharpness, cuz spartan weapon 10 will allow you to 1 shot monsters lol

hey Nate! go into your map settings under minimap or waypoint settings I believe... it should be "show waypoints in game" or something like that. just turn that setting off

Is using villagers a good way to get enchants? Because so far ive gotten lots of good enchants like slayer V, shaprness V fortune III and more
Nah. Apotheosis has books that get specific enchantments for certain tools, farming XP on this modpack is hell ass easy so you can just enchant over and over and over Sword Books and get tons of tons of tons of enchantments.
And for treasure enchantments, villagers cannot sell treasure enchantments so you can only get them from raiding.
I never use villagers lol. I just got all my enchants from treasure chest loots or drops
How do you level your shadow for the dreadsteel sword
I figured it out, if you make the straw effigy’s, it gives you 5 xp per but you cannot shift click it, they need to be done 1 by 1

yeah it's just luck man. sometimes you find a bunch of them and sometimes not. I would recommend searching the bandit forts cuz they have a ton of chests
How can I increase the shadow stat?
well I doubt you still need it, but if you do, craft straw effigy (at least if you only need a few levels) it costs only straw, so its also cheap :)

Hey bro, how can you get like more than 9 enchants on your armor and weapon? ir whatever the cap is because i wanted to put as many enchants on it like you but i cant add more xD would be nice ig you could tell me that!
I think in older versions of rad2 you could put on 15 enchants on items. I think they lowered the limit now cuz people keep telling me they can't put on as many enchants as I do. sorry man 😕

@@sitt4937 spartan weapon is by far the most OP damage enchant in rad2. unless they nerfed it since I played.
if you can only put on 1 damage enchant, I would put on Spartan Weapon

woah really? are you wearing a trinket or something that makes you take more magic damage? I used it in my recent rad2 playthrough and it worked fine for me, just hurt me a little bit
@@Deolegion777 i think it might be my heart of the golem or something LOL didnt even think about that.... so many magic attacks have been one shotting me even though im in netherite with some magic protection baha got some more health and i was finally able to get through a wall but now finding one of those dungeons is the next challenge did alot of adventuring and havnt seen one yet haha

Idk man lol. I noticed I had some issues with alchemy as well towards the end. are you trying to shift click bottles onto the brewing stand? (that was one bug I noticed, I had to actually drag bottles onto the stand)
How do you have conflicting enchants on it?
this was made on an older version of rad2, before they started nerfing enchants left and right

how do you get all your infinite buffs?
luck = lucky coin from Lost Trinkets, everything else is from upgraded bracelets (the ones that drop ALLLLLL the time from elite mobs lol)

@@WarriorJay606 yeah look up the bracelets in JEI. it takes diamond block, netherite ingot, and block of netherite I think...
you can upgrade all those trinkets. (rings, amulets, bracelets) the green quality ones that drop from elites all the time
@@Deolegion777 but how do you put buffs on them? Currently all the ones I've found have no buffs or passives on them, or is it because there's a specific way to do so?
@@alcorthewise3512 the green quality trinkets should have a buff already on them to start. (UNLESS they changed how the trinkets work then idk lol)
you keep upgrading the trinkets and they get a random buff when you upgrade to t2 and t4

I think you have to use the apex enchanting with a beacon block to make the enchant. I never did apex enchanting on my playthrough, so Idk for sure lol
