Mecool now that name brings back memories I used to use their boxes years back but once I went over to the Nivida Shield all them cheap Chinese boxes were done good to see Mecool still doing the boxes

As I understand it you can't save files to usb drive - Storage Access Framework issue - which rather negates the advantage of having usb ports. Not something you seem to have mentioned. I believe also there is no ALL4 app for it. Not so good for watching F1 highlights.

I want a laptop, a desktop, and a media centre. I'm thinking of a blue tooth keyboard and mouse, plus a portable monitor and either: a Samsung A22, which is portable, can be truly portable and usable, I can put a sim in, has a desktop mode (DeX), and I can put all the streaming apps on; a mini PC stick, which comes in a tiny form, is almost a proper PC (and you can set up an EGPU for your home set up); or an android box - which does everything but is far cheaper.

Love the KM2 if you can't afford a Nvidia Shield TV I recommend getting the KM2. You can add storage via micro SD as well
I believe it loves me, and I love my KM 2. Seriously, it's amazing, it does everything it needs to and more. Pop a 32 Gb card in, get Real Debrid and you're set. Got it from Ali for 48 euro, arrived in two weeks to NL. I believe you have to pay some VAT nowadays. But I'm really happy with it. I got my gf a Fire tv Stick 4k Max for 37 euros on sale, and for that money it is almost as great as the KM2. But I didn't tell her or she'll want a KM 2.

If I’m honest, they are pretty much identical in both performance and looks. I’ve used the KM2 a lot longer and when converted to £’s, it’s also cheaper 🍻
Great review, once again. I have the mecool and love everything except the remote. The circle is too small and frequently misses my attempts to go up or down - with left or right. Other than that, the box is great! Thanks for the review. Enjoy both of your channels!

Good review mate.. my only gripe with droid boxes no matter which one you get, they all slow down to shit after a while
I've got one of these, just be aware if you use the expansion card slot, they are prone to overheating and shorting out the board, mine even sparked itself out and burned the plastic on the port. (Still works though!)

I have had this box a year now and still not able to use itvx it says I do not have the correct license.. pretty frustrating, I've tried side loading and downloading an app from another source but nothing... Would be great if you could help ..

Great review. Question for you about the KM2: On a Firestick, I can change the TV input by talking into the remote and saying something such as "Change input to HDMI 2". Can I do something similar using the KM2 remote?

Great video, just purchased one. however, I need a Bluetooth remote with an air mouse as google and some others need a mouse my ir air mouse works to an extent but it does not work with the search key pad that is on the k2. Do you have a working remote that you recomend?

I have a KM3 for 3 years and am very happy 😍 with it but unfortunately about a week ago stopped working.
On the tv says no signal, i changed the HDMI, tried to factory reset from the back, even factory reset my TV and still nothing 😭 i checked everywhere to solve it but it's a dead end. The blue light is blinking when the device is on and the red when off.
Any new ideas to (re)start it are welcome.
Anw am thinking to buy KM6 deluxe with the big memory instead of the KM2 with much less memory. I like the KM2 more but memory is a big issue for me, cause i like to download movies and keep them in the device for a while.

I purchased their most expensive model, 2021 MECOOL Newest Android TV 10 Box KM6 Deluxe Edition, for $107.00 several months ago. I found the responsive timing of the remote to be less than adequate. Complained & they sent me a replacement that was no better. Ended up buying a universal remote from Amazon & it still has the same "slow reacting" problem. Has anyone else had this type of problem with MECOOL devices? Based on what I've just said I will stick with NVIDIA Shield ( I have 2) & Firestick MAX (I have 2).
I have it and never had any responsive issues at all. If the replacement remote didn't help then it's probably a setting or the box itself is flawed...

Trying to install ITVX on a Mecool KM2 TV box, every variant of ITVX that I can find always comes up with the following whenever I try to run the app, seems it is a known problem, is there a solution?

Please help...having an issue connecting to wifi ....tried reboot my modem and reboot device with no luck.....can't access the date to adjust it to correct date ....with Ethernet it works fine

How friendly are these boxes (and similar) to custom launchers and stuff? Looking for a streaming box for my folks with official apps, but with a custom launcher. Have used Roku, but app selection is not as good as it was, especially in Canada, and it seems they're adding more and more with each update that you can't turn off or change.

For some reason this device does not have a reset button, so no way to boot into recovery mode.
If you could help me understand these boxes it would really help do you have to pay subscription for any of the apps or are they ready to go and which box would you top recommend pal
Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney yes but you can download third party apps free of charge as he mentions.
Looks like Mecool and Netflix have resolved their differences mate, Netflix has randomly appeared on my KM9 box 🤔

Have multiple devices shield cube ccwgtv mi box etc this box is closest to the shield imo love it as good as the cube and I personally prefer android TV over fire os. A great device in my opinion thanks for the recommendation 😊

In the settings name km2 is not km2 but leap 1. You dont know why?

I bought this box through amazon and had trouble with the remote. Amazon replaced the whole system but the same issue exists. When scrolling up or down it takes off like crazing scrolling. Also the google voice brings me back to the home screen and even turned off the tv once. Any ideas about what’s going on would be helpful.

It's stuck on hdr on mecool km2 there is no way to turn it off which sux big time is there anyway to fix this I have tried doing a factory reset and nothing 😞

Hi this video was so helpful has the remote control issue been resolved since 8 months ago that it doesn't have a 🐀 no one is talking about that , when people were trying to set up the bluetooth it was failing to set it up to connect with the tv .has this been fixed mate as I have ordered one will get it tomorrow play around with it on Wednesday but is this video too old for you to reply to me about it , it is important as no one on there videos of the Meecol K2 has mentioned the mouse 🐀. Or if it needs one as I thought we all need one as I see it but maybe you can explain if there isn't a fix is there an alternative to it mate .
