I’m from Monterey and when me and my twin sister were younger, we’d catch sand crabs while my grandparents were fishing. They cooked and ate them too! They don’t smell that great though lol, especially after you cook them. They were fun to catch as kids.

Another great video chef. Loved my Subaru and nearly cried when it had to be hauled away to the junk yard. The engine was still going fine and never had a problem with it, but the frame rotted out. Probably the best car I will ever have. Thirty years later still miss it.

A fairly common dish here in Rio de Janeiro was "arroz de tatuí", consisted of fried sand crab and rice. The coastline here was filled with these critters but overpopulation and pollution from Guanabara Bay made them rare to spot at popular beaches such as Ipanema and Copacabana.
