Not sure if this is accurate, but "I have heard" you want to pour the cleaning agent (maybe w an eye dropper onto the brush. By dipping the brush into the cleaner the brass in the brush makes the cleaner inert in the future when you use it again. Check it out to see if that is true.
This is a question many people ask when cleaning a revolver. Revolvers don't need as much lubricant and many times the more lubricant you put on the firearm the faster it collects particles that you don't want. An extremely light amount of lubricant is ok on the outer frame but you don't want to overdo it as it will make you have to clean the firearm much more often.
I recommend cleaning the barrel before the cylinder chambers.
Quick and to the point cool!

Thank you for making a video that isn't 20 minutes long haha!
Make sure you remove the rubber grip.
May I ask why? I just purchased my first revolver (856 .38 Special). Thank you!
Don't you oil the outer frame and cylinder too?
