Shabazz Palaces - Black Up One of the best rap albums of the 2000s and highly underrated. Has a member of one of the biggest early 90s hip hop groups combined with the son of the most famous mbira master in Zimbabwe.
Kanye became a producer with this album instead of the beatmaker he was on College Dropout. A lot of live instruments on this album, samples beeing replayed instead of just sampling. Alot of drumbreaks on top of the sample. Man I love this album. My favorite Kanye album.
Wow, such truth at the beginning there. I rarely take in the lyrics when I listen to music unless I consciously try to, it’s all about what the track does for you as an entire package.
You're the definition of open mindedness and creativity when it comes to reaction channels man. To call this a reaction channel feels disrespectful when we see the "quality" of other channels on this platform. Don't let the negative comments get to you, you're the only one in your lane, nobody like you man. Have a great day!
Good to see you listening to more Kanye. This is one of his best albums. I'd probably say his best is Graduation or My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Both are fantastic. Also, it looks like your channel is growing. Great stuff to see! Keep it up my man!
I love the way this dude listens to and compliments the smallest parts of production that I’d never even notice. Also the attention to detail in these videos like in the parts where the music skips bits are just seamless. Well done 👏
First heard about Danny Brown when someone compared him to Company Flow. Seemed odd to me at first, because today CoFlow sounds like run of the mill boom bap, but back at the time it was cutting edge experimental. El-P as Rapper producer has one of the most interesting progressions in hip-hop. Topically and lyrically Fandam is his best, but production wise I'll sleep when you are dead is his magnus opus. It's a great starter, because it carries such a energetic vibe to it even if you can't comprehend the abstract lyrics like most of us lol. Not his most disorienting sound, but generally with the 00s albums he was 10 years ahead of the curve. The megamixes also have some hidden gems on it. Don't see any connection to Kanye though lol no offense
Yeah, I understand everyone’s concerns about wanting you to react to the lyrics and stuff but I watch your content for the opposite. What makes you stand out for me at least is how you focus purely on the sound of music itself and it’s great! :D

I love how you stick to yourself. Don't let other people tell you how to run your channel. Your "reactions" bring happiness. It says a lot ur not doing this for money either.
Some of the best playing/singing along you’ve done in this video! Those falsettos sounded great.
MY MAN SPEAKING FACTS IN THE BEGINNING
I am so happy this channel got recommended to me. Your reaction is absolutely brilliant.
I love it when he gets so excited that he just starts adding to the production
#TrueInterAction
Love your videos. Glad you started on some Kanye. Amazing.
Listen to yeezus and 808s and heartbreaks.
YES!
doubtful we'll get yeezus as he usually just listens to vinyl
@artery haha
100% my new favourite channel, can just tell you absolutely love music so fun to watch you listen to albums i love. waiting for the full blonde or MBDTF reaction !
This wasn’t the first album that got me into west, but this was the first album I owned and it meant so much to me especially “Hey Mama”
Love to say I was here from the start, happy to see everything (slowly) but surely falling into place for you mr. 6.
Shabazz Palaces - Black Up
One of the best rap albums of the 2000s and highly underrated. Has a member of one of the biggest early 90s hip hop groups combined with the son of the most famous mbira master in Zimbabwe.
good recommendation
The short little intro of this video is so respectable, his view on being seen as a “reaction channel” makes me respect his view for what he does more
I don't know what Beautiful Dark Twisted Sweat Desires is but it sounds fire
i think he meant Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, but who knows?
@@losttastebuds3088 I know but I like the title. Sounds like the double disc version of the album like Nelly SweatSuit album
This makes me so happy, WOW. The album got me in all of sorts of emotions and glad to see someone let himself go like that, cheers to that .
THE LIFE OF PABLO NEXT
it aint on vinyl tho
Unfortunately, its not on vinyl
Yes please
no way, go through them in order!!
Just do all kanye albums
Discovered your channel today and now you’re reviewing one of my favourite ever albums. Brilliant timing
19:29 - 19:59 The power of Kanye. I've yet to see this.
You've became my favourite channel around! Proud to be a Mercurial Mercanary
paused late registration to watch you listen to late registration
Kanye became a producer with this album instead of the beatmaker he was on College Dropout. A lot of live instruments on this album, samples beeing replayed instead of just sampling. Alot of drumbreaks on top of the sample. Man I love this album. My favorite Kanye album.

"I'm so glad the Adam Levine part passed me by! Makes me nauseous just thinking about it"
7:00
Wow, such truth at the beginning there. I rarely take in the lyrics when I listen to music unless I consciously try to, it’s all about what the track does for you as an entire package.
This is great! must cost a fortune though to buy vinyls for every reactions haha
Yes.
Love what you had to say at the beginning of the video. One of my favourite channels that I've found since being stuck inside more.
I really recommend you put part 1/2 on the titles, otherwise its really confusing
he already does that
I love how we all listen to the lyrics and some of the best but he keeps bringing us to the stuff we forget 👍🏼 Brilliant stuff mate love it 🙏🏼
You're the definition of open mindedness and creativity when it comes to reaction channels man. To call this a reaction channel feels disrespectful when we see the "quality" of other channels on this platform. Don't let the negative comments get to you, you're the only one in your lane, nobody like you man. Have a great day!
Thanks. I appreciate it. I'm not sure I really do enough 'reacting' to be a 'reaction channel'. I'm something else. For better or for worse! Ha ha!
@@mercurialno6 100% agree. And for better 100%.
Good to see you listening to more Kanye. This is one of his best albums. I'd probably say his best is Graduation or My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Both are fantastic. Also, it looks like your channel is growing. Great stuff to see! Keep it up my man!
19:25 "Now the former slaves trade hooks for Grammys"
I love how you can see the moment the weight of that line hits him.
Slowly becoming the best reaction channel on RUclips and im so happy to be here
MY DARK TWISTED BEAUTIFUL FANTASY NEXT!!!
It’s my beautiful dark twisted fantasy
@@seanhanlon7085 SORRY MY BAD
I love the way this dude listens to and compliments the smallest parts of production that I’d never even notice. Also the attention to detail in these videos like in the parts where the music skips bits are just seamless. Well done 👏
I *need* to see this dude break down some El-P production. Get this man on some RTJ4.
and Cannibal Ox - Cold Vein since he's such a fan of Dr Octagon type production
@@breakprismatshell6270 i reckon he will lose his mind to I'll Sleep When You Are Dead. such an addicting album. whole design got my mind cryin
RTJ2
You are amazing dude, greetings from Spain
I reccomend RTJ4 by Run The Jewels next, production on that is crazy (dope looking vinyl too)
I second this. RTJ are dope
Absolutely. RTJ4 is my album of the year.
I love you my guy the energy you bring is just unreal, you bring joy when you react to music
Oh yes im so happy kanye react
I'll never forget the first time hearing this album in full and seeing you get all excited and hyped makes me so happy this album is timeless as hell
Yeah, I understand everyone’s concerns about wanting you to react to the lyrics and stuff but I watch your content for the opposite. What makes you stand out for me at least is how you focus purely on the sound of music itself and it’s great! :D
You have literally made it a dream of mine now to produce a song that you review one day, your approach to music is amazing!!!
protect this man at all costs
I completely agree with your take on being a “reaction channel” like yeah you still have a reaction to it but it’s rly all about vibing
Have you considered making a patreon page? Think there's plenty of people who'd want to support you/co-finance the vinyl 'reaction' videos. Anyways, much love & keep it up!
Mate you release this the day I announce one of my new tracks. Feels like a reward. Kanye's my favourite artist and Heard em Say is probably in my top 3 tracks by him. Thanks for doing this, so enjoyable.
you look like a music teacher everyone would like
I actually really love your reactions cuz you set yourself apart from other reactors.
Listen to Lauryn Hill-Miseducation!
yeaaaaa
Great fucking call Lad
This is my favorite channel on RUclips at the moment. Keep up the great stuff my guy!
you should check out car Seat headrest!
Kanye is amazing, can’t wait for you to do his other albums! And I just love your editing in the new vids😂
The best and most underrated Kanye project imo. (I know most people disagree with this one just my opinion)
I agree, its his strongest album. I know a lot of people LOVE the production on MBDTF and YEEZUS but this album has the best samples and subject matter.
@@razatiger22 yea I go back and forth it's a hard choice. MBDTF just never hit for me on the level it did for most people and I guess it's partially nostalgic reasons I like his first three projects a little bit more than the next three (but they're all great imo)
The effort you put in these videos is amazing ! Great breath of fresh air in the “Reaction” scene. Keep it up man 🔥
lol am i the only one who caught reading the credits thinking carter was jimmy carter lolololol
