You should check other either My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus, or The Life of Pablo. All 3 albums sound very different from Late Registration, and very different from each other. Twisted Fantasy has the most "grandiose" type of sound. Yeezus has a very harsh and industrial sound. Pablo has a very artistic/creative sound that is extremely unpredictable from one song to the next and is unique from start to finish.
Thank you for being fearless when it comes to sharing your natural, uninhibited reaction to the music. It affected a lot of people the exact same way, but they just weren’t ready to show it like you do. Please keep reacting to any and all Kanye prior to JIK. It’s worth it.

It's interesting you say that he wasn't scared to use the bass drum, Kanye has always been critical about his drums and he felt like he could never get them to pop as much as he wanted. I'm glad that you were able to pick that up. A source of this is when he had to go through numerous amount of mixes for his song Stronger, where he had to redo the drums over and over again until he went to Timbaland (notorious for his drums) to help him out.
