In Memory of Paul Haddad (Voice Actor, Leon S. Kennedy), thanks so much for your legendary contribution to a much loved heroic character of a game that is embedded in the hearts and souls of countless fans around the World. You'll be truly missed 😢 🙏 Paul Haddad (1963 - 2020)
As a huge fan to the series who's been with it since the beginning and has experienced the highs and lows i can confidently say that his passing is a loss to us all. His work is incredible and this is the pinnacle of the series. It just too often feels like we never have enough time, y'know. One more thing that makes me feel my fuckin age. Extremely nostalgic! He should be a proud man indeed as it has made me happy to hear such beautiful music in such a beautiful game. Unlike the RE2 remake that completely failed to recapture the spirit, energy, and charm that surely lacked in the remake despite it being successful.
When I first entered the S.T.A.R.S building, and I heard this theme, I actually associated it with the legacy of S.T.A.R.S, and how Jill, Chris, Barry, Rebecca and the other members all went through hell and back. I know this theme is titled “Leon and Claire” but to me personally, this theme represents the tragic fall of S.T.A.R.S, and how the heroes of the first resident evil game must feel after witnessing not only the spencer mansion outbreak, but another outbreak in their own city. The office being desolate and empty, only filled with pictures and memories of a better time, really adds to the emotion here.
You know this track honestly makes Me think of all the S.T.A.R.S. Members that died during the events of RE Zero and RE1 Edward Dewey, Kenneth J. Sullivan, Forest Speyer, Richard Aiken,Captain Enrico Marini from S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team and Joseph Frost from S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team not to mention Brad Vickers The Alpha Team Pilot who died during RE3
I am so happy someone else has the same thought process as me. Everytime i hear this ost it just gives off such a hopeless vibe.. like everyone you know and love is just gone
Only in Leon A / Claire B you can see this scene between the 2. The moment Claire learns from Leon, she wont find Chris in Racoon City and has Leon around to cheer her up.
"It looks like we're not going to find your brother after all... There's no reason for us to stay here any longer, let's split up, look for any survivors, and get out of here!!"
I don't know if it's just me, but playing REmake 2 and hearing this in the S.T.A.R.S office (while Leon was by himself) filled me with a sense of depression. As if somehow, in another reality, another timeline, Claire would be there with Leon...
That stars office feels like a place lost in time. Such an important place with so much history. Wesker, Chris, Jill, Barry, Rebecca, Leon, and Claire have stepped foot in that office
@@tyrant017 very unfortunate. That’s my childhood getting blasted away lol. No games would ever have the same feeling as the older re games. Looking forward to the re 4 remake
This OST gives one a reminder of a moment of relief when we see someone we care about for just a few moments but then realize that there's still more things to be done and have to part again until next time.
I felt like Claire was holding back tears when Leon handed her Chris's diary. And the pause before "right" was her getting herself together. Looking at the S.T.A.R.S photo while this plays hits me in the feels too. You realize all those people were friends, comrades and now most of them are gone. The rest are on the run and demonized.
You know looking at the S.T.A.R.S. photo in the S.T.A.R.S. Office is even sadder now because out of all the people in it only 3 of them are still alive now, Chris, Jill, and Barry not to mention Rebecca who is not featured in the photo

hoytster88 If it isn't in the remake. I will just shut off the music in game. Rip my Resident Evil 2 soundtrack CD. Link it with my steam account. Then play the RE2 soundtrack as I play the remake.

1998:"One last thing, here’s a radio. Take it. That way we can keep in touch if anything happens" 2019: in the remake they never get in contact besides the beginning and the end 😂
Not hating on the Original but Leon and Claire not sticking together after meeting up makes no logical sense given the situation they were in and I can see why it wasn’t in the Remake since games nowadays are a lot less trope and cliche

Core is disposition...for the arms of injustice they crave blood is on there hands ...
This game...
Thank you
Claire: Leon!!!
Leon: It's good to see you still among the livings... It looks like we're not gonna find your brother after all...
Que agradable Melodia! Me relaja bastante bien!
Beautiful, but very sad 😥
Some version of this better be in the REmake
hoytster88
If it isn't in the remake. I will just shut off the music in game. Rip my Resident Evil 2 soundtrack CD. Link it with my steam account. Then play the RE2 soundtrack as I play the remake.
It's not in the remake. They are making you pay for the deluxe version of the game if you want of the old songs. The new OST is ambient movie crap.
i just bought it for 3 dollars in the store the classic ost’s
with activated classic OST DLC it's in the S.T.A.R.S office ... aaaand there's actually NO reason not to buy & activate this DLC lol.
It's there, but doesn't fit at all.
Let's find any survivors and get out of here
My favorite song in the series other than city of ruin. Wish this scene made it in the remake
You can count on the RE2 remake to take all the best parts out of RE2
RE3 remake did that to me tbh :/ but RE2 to me was good
LOL meanwhile RE2 Remake was absolutely GOATED
Fr, RE 2 Remake could've been incredible
Let's split up, look for any weaklings, and get out of here. Here's a handheld radio. You'll need music while you wander around out there.
"I can't believe what's happened to this city..."
When i first started playing RE2 i thought you could become infected, i remember being in CAUTION standing next to Claire waiting for the virus to overtake me
Wonder where this will be used in the remake
1998:"One last thing, here’s a radio. Take it. That way we can keep in touch if anything happens"
2019: in the remake they never get in contact besides the beginning and the end 😂
RE2 PlayStation BEST EVER!
You shoot a zombie it falls down. Moments later it gets back up on its legs. OMG this thing came from hell!
exactly lmao I'd be looking at it like WHAT
It looks like we not going to find your brother
here after all
Thays too mich sadness😢(1998-2021), Voice Actor tô Leon S Kennedy
Blood for dime blood for nickels the feel of spoiled milk ...
Sad 😭
Weapon art of decoy enchants of tears for the disposition no acceptance and the reason is a acceptance of all things seeing the illusion of tero
Faces cant replace time and a wall of disposition...
Haters still have not gotten here
that's a good thing
Not hating on the Original but Leon and Claire not sticking together after meeting up makes no logical sense given the situation they were in and I can see why it wasn’t in the Remake since games nowadays are a lot less trope and cliche
They can’t take back ...
Money isn’t power unity is
The beginning gives me American History X vibes
“August 24th
With the help of Jill and Barry, I finally obtained information vital to this case. Umbrella has begun research on the new G-virus, a variation of the original T-virus. Haven't they done enough damage already?!
We talked it over, and have decided to fly to the main Umbrella HQ in Europe. I won't tell my sister about this trip because doing so could put her in danger.
Please forgive me Claire.”
"I won't tell my sister about this trip because doing so could put her in danger. Please forgive me Claire.”
Unfortunately, this happens in Resident Evil Code Veronica X.
@@MarleHunter85 the diary is found in RE 2 in the stars office, same diary leon gives to Claire when they meet back up for the first time.
@@Dualpersonalities617 I know, but when Claire discover truth about Umbrella Corporation, she have to search her brother for investigation.
@@MarleHunter85 gotcha, I
Liked this moment in the series because it always stood out to me this scene and the diary, the music is very somber and foreboding.
La oficina de los stars 😮
It sounds like you just looped one small part of the song...would have been much better to just loop all of it.
I think it looped correctly, I recorded it from the original PSF file that the PS1 used so it could loop music unlike previous CD based consoles like the Mega CD. The first few seconds are only at the start. I'll double check to make sure though, I've been wrong before
@@Doomsday17died No you're totally right. This is really the only way to do it. So awesome.
Stars are the first to die cops
Se parece a la canción de Tomb Raider 2😮
This is hard. Very COD4
