40 years in this chair and I never knew that you could buy ramps like that I am getting some for my kids houses .
I love these ramps
I’m honestly impressed how you have taken your situation and moved forward. 🙌🏼
This makes me lowkey miss the last time I did an unboxing for some wheelchair-related equipment.... like the whole feeling of just realisin that my life would be easier 😅
The ramp Looks to be really well made
Good evening you 2 beautiful spirits ,photographer and puppy best video yet everyone excited tail wagging awesome!!!!
Congrats!!
Thank you for your review on this product. I have a 3 foot folding ramp that I keep in the back of my van all the time. I am in a Rigid Wheelchair like yours and it comes in handy for small elevations. I have been looking at a 10 foot divided ramp and I am so glad to see your trial and review of this. I think it would work great for more radical users like ourselves. 🦽🤙🏻
Very good
Awesome I’m glad I found this
Awesome, I got the first ramp for a step in my yard. It's really great and most importantly affordable.
Just recently learning about adaptive Maui thru Tanelle. Really encouraging to me to be able to travel back to Maui since becoming a quad.
Jenn and Adaptive Maui will have you completely covered for fun and access!
I keep a 24 inch ramp in the van for the power chair. And a 36 inch ramp at someone's house. Looks like the same bi fold ramp!
This is a great Video. Your blessed with nice friends.
Thank you I just looked up telescoping ramps on amazon. Thanks again.
Welcome :)
I just did a quick lookup and the range of electric wheelchairs is between about 150-400 lbs. Also remember that you have to include the user's weight. I would think that the more you use them and are pushing the weight capacity they are going to wear out on you. Just something to consider. The other thing is a quick fix for the spacing. Get something like a piece of wood, plastic, or even metal and make yourself a gage. Set the width at the top and then eyeball the other end so that the ramps are parallel. So far as the weight goes, I would think that you would have a huge advantage with the narrower ones both because of the longer ramps, and being able to maneuver one of them at a time. A quick look tells me that the average weight of almost any ramp of that length is going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 35 +/- lbs. There's another one I saw that is something that I've seen before and it's what they call a "trifold" ramp. The whole ramp folds length wise and then each of the upper halves fold back on themselves. Here it is: medmartonline.com/trifold-ramp-advantage-series?gclid=Cj0KCQjwm9D0BRCMARIsAIfvfIbQTyqferffAUwJtx1ViFQB4HoUpE1-FKxwoj5IR52WIKz6xWFiM24aAoSUEALw_wcB#check-post1
Piece of advise, have a way to install a nail or screw at the top of the ramp. This will prevent it from sliding back for some reason and dumping you.
They work both for me in a powerchair, but I prefer the EZ one myself.
Was just thinking I wouldn’t be able to feel the knife anyway when Tanalle said it. You do get used to the space. At my Sisters cottage I use ramps meant to load their tractor into their truck. Similar design but less safety stuff.
I'd try it in my power wheelchair!🤙
such a god friend!
Cute dog
It’s funny how we geek out about ramps and assistive devices.
The nerd team!! ...back at it again!
It’s a way of life like I see shoes as feet covers lol and I’m fine with 20 dollar Costco shoes lol but a 100 dollar ramp. Ow that’s cool 😎
Not exactly a para left bka rt leg only moves a little(no quads function) but my God I love your chair. I can stand but not walk,in your opinion would the foot plate be a help or hindrance? I have a drive cruiser 3 with out leg attachment but is a 20 inch, need a 16,and is heavy.looking to upgrade
You're so inspiring!
It seems like wheel chairs could use a ratcheting mode to keep them from rolling backwards n hills.
ScottDLR then you’d tip backwards and that’s not good if your at your tipping point and cannot roll back your in trouble ,
@@BushBuggin Good point.
That is why we kiss our knees going up inclines
cool handcycle
You look good 😌
I know when I had channel ramps my powerchair couldn't use them due to the lip so hope you don't have same issue
They seem sketchy for a power chair, for that reason as well as weight when they are fully extended. No problems with my chair setup, but it wouldn't have worked with the first front casters I had when my whole chair sat 1/2" closer to the ground. My footplate would have definitely caught then
🌹
It’s expensive being disabled or ill
I’m looking into a power wheelchair I have not been able to walk fo a few years now. My husband got me a manual wheelchair 4 years ago. He got one for 125 dollars it gets me to my doctor appointments and back home. I’m sure costume wheelchairs are pretty expensive and depending on what extras you get added on. I don’t think I could wheel my self very good because my arm strength isn’t very good because of pain. I’m looking Into a Powerchair that fold and can be put in the trunk of the car. I hope it will be a good investment
Joan McGilton that is too bad I’m sorry for your issues , I can relate I’m a partial break with nasty nerv pain issues from having nerves mashed together , if you ever likes Cannabis I found it works long term better than opioids and gives extra energy etc etc ,
How much did the ramp weigh & how much weight will it hold?
The one single ramp is light enough for me to pick up... not sure the specific weight. And will hold 800lbs
I don't know about that second ramp, I would have a good wooden ramp built there
All good if you know people who can build a ramp ;)
I walk barefooted all the time here in Nj too, rite on the jagged concrete. Hobbit feet run in my family.
Is this were you live?
Nope, my friends home. I have a wooden ramp structure built into my own home.
Where r u from
Saskatchewan
Hey
But I don’t like the ramp which spooks to the ground, from the previous video the ramp was safer in my opinion.
Safe, but heavier
@@ProTipsForParas Visually they look smaller than the previous ones. Due to the fact that they are smaller in terms of width, it will be psychologically more difficult to go down, I think there’s not much difference when raising the top.
Beau chien!
Ļoti labas uzbrauktuves pie mums tādas maksā astronomiskas naudas summas.
I am crippled, I am T4 broken back. I uploaded a video of me getting out of my truck if anyone wants to share it.
