- Hello......Even though my back is still not 100%.... MY 7K CELEBRATION CONTINUES!!!!! I had to get this video done! It's far from perfect so I will likely re-do it down the road! This is just a small portion of my antique Victorian jewelry. I would love to do more videos on early, mid and late Victorian. I also need to do several videos on Georgian and before! This video is jam-packed with gold, silver, diamonds, paste, gems, garnets, agate, glass, steel, hair work, lockets, pins, necklaces, earrings, rings, fobs and even an 18k gold pocket watch! Lourdes, you are so right. I don't think he even realizes in his innocent humbleness just how wonderfully great he is. My fave piece is a mourning pin with jet, seed pearls and child's blond hair I found in Baltimore years ago, hence my love for this video.

I got it free with Amazon points. I thought that getting the 2nd edition was better than nothing. :) The 3rd edition will be a hunt at the antique stores. I will let you know when I find it!

Hair woven necklace amazing ! My daughter when she was going through chemo cut off her braids and gave one to each daughter in a frame with a picture of her and that child and a couple momentos . really meaningful and such an amazing memory. Loved this video amazing jewelry . Cant wait for the watches I have one watch that has diamond where the quartz label is normally and I have no clue about this watch also has a small clear stone at the top (inside) I am more into jewelry but have an old pocket watch , old bulova and an old watch of my hubbies mom. lots of old jewelry and will just sit and look at it with great memories. georgian, victorian, into edwardian i'm so drawn to. i'm very eclectic in my taste of all things usually depending on my mood so when trying to explain the style of jewelry i like to someone ive said, a romantic gothic victorian hippie witch lol not sure what era that falls into but victorian def does it for me most of the time. that snake ring is amazing the artist that was able to get metal to mimic so closely the actual movement of a snakes body boggles my mind. loved the scent bottle and compact i have a weakness for things that hold other things probably why i collect lockets

The Scottish dirk was made by the company Adie & Lovekin in Chester, England, in 1843. They were known for making Scottish jewellery. I just thought I'd thrown in a little bit of info on it for you! I've learnt how to read a lot of the old English Hallmarks, so I'm pretty sure I've got the year right. ( The lion, definitely, and the Chester mark as well).
This has been my absolute favourite video of yours so far, but all your videos are my favourites when it comes to learning about jewellery - especially antique jewellery. I think the rings you were wearing at the start of the video are gorgeous! And, if people want to argue over Georgian vs Victorian, just tell them, "Well, we can all agree on one thing - they're very old"!!
If that doesn't help, then they're beyond help!

I was thinking , the way they made the brooches with the lapse over of the pin. If anyone were to attack you for your jewelry you could just jab the with that needle . It is amazing how much they lapse over the closure. Love all the items . Love the frog locket reminds me of our home in ohio with all the frogs in our pond. I use to walk around it when I wanted to think or be alone , so peaceful.

9ct gold (375) is the standard over here. I saw a full hallmark on the 9ct gold large Celtic brooch, it'll give you all the information you need including the correct date.

oh my , my birthstone is garnet and I always hated it because I never could find one I like but those are amazing. I even went so far to put green garnets in a pair of earrings which I ended up losing. Those are beautiful. Guess I need to look for older pieces

Loved the snake ring and garnets are one of my favorite stones. Your garnet pieces are just so elegant and warm looking that they make me want to just gaze at them for hours and the steel pieces are so steampunk chic to me.
