Nice, congrats on the new guitar! I just bought this same model / color about a month ago. Gibson has a pretty dubious reputation online and I believed it for a long time, but this is the BEST playing and sounding guitar I have ever had. It's a keeper for sure.
Bought the unburst 1st run 2019 still loving it.. pickups are hottter than the burst buckers 1 and 2 in the 50’s…to my understanding both 50’s and 60’s standards now are what they should be..👍🏻
That’s what was kinda nice back in the day when everyone bought their guitars from a store… you’d already see any dings or minor damage the guitar had… so it’s nice that you’d know what to expect

nice ! just got another 60th anniversary 1960 Les Paul V3 in wide tomato burst...to go with my matching Bourbon burst. Then I had to get the 61 Gibson Custom Les Paul/SG in Cherry Red. All really nice guitars from the custom shop..nothing is better than a new Gibson !
Re your cats. We bought so many beds and special warming blankets and toys. A paper bag or a box is what they choose every time. They do play with their toys though. They eventually make it over to their beds or take over ours. Les Paul’s are great. I love gold tops myself but beautiful guitar. Enjoy n I deleted my post from 8 months ago just reposted. Sorry about that. Rewatching it anyway. Guitarists and cats seem to go together.
It's a timeless beauty. On side note I never understood why they put a 3 number combination lock on the case. It seems unnecessary, prone to malfunction and forgetfulness of the combination.
Beautiful unburst dude, I bought a 50s Standard in Tobacco Burst, it was a close decision between it and this one. Decided on the 50s because I have a 2014 Classic with the slim neck profile and I just wanted something totally different. Very nice
I'm waiting for delivery of my 60s unburst its yellow and orange the same with no red on the front. Cant wait. However you scared me putting the case on that lovely table and sliding it around. Theres studs on the back of the case. As a lover of beautiful timber I had anxiety issues 😂

Man! That thing is a beauty. Supah Envious… I’m pretty sure I remember something about the polish cloth that comes in the case discoloring the finish. Could have been an older cloth or different finish, but I’d look into it, if I had that gem of a guitar. Congrats on the good score.
My parents got me a 1969 Gibson Les Paul just like this color but slightly more darker and let me tell you that guitar as a beauty and yes I still have it
That is a very cool looking guitar, congratulations. One thing I would have done when taking it out of the case, would be to check the headstock for cracks. It was well packed but you never know with shipping.

I bought an unburst myself in 2020 and weighs in just 2oz under 10lbs and the top supposely is a AA factory rated spec but just in 2yrs I've had it it now has more flames than a tigers coat.It really must have been fresh wood or somebody pulled it from the wrong pile once it got painited..too late. My benefit...Your top is beautiful as well!

Got Dad's 57 Les Paul standard. Had it since 65. Am now 65. Love his 335 Gibson. To me. Nothing sounds better than a Les Paul standard.

I got a 60's Unburst last year.... i've had prob 30-40 guitars , and the unburst is easily top 3... its actually stunning!!! congrats!
