REMOVING RUST | Preparing our Sprinter Van Conversion | silvervanproject

some of you might know the struggle with Sprinters and rust: Sprinters looove to rust and that's horrible!
One of our first steps before starting with the big conversion was the rust removal, we took out the baseplate and the bulkhead and gave the van a deeeeep deeep clean. Then we used a power drill with a metal brush to grind off every rusty part.
after all this we applied Hammerite Anti-Rust paint and hope that our rust problem ist history ;)

Great videos. And nice you guys do it in English. Could you suggest any stores in Germany that are essential for a van build? So far, I’ve only found bahaus and Berger. Best of luck with the build.

scrapping corners use a small hammer with that chisel tap or hit as you go,,, goes a lot faster.
