Anybody btw 50-55yo can get any job and do well. IRCC still gives you chance in most of their immigration programs to age 55. Age is not an issue to migration. What's important is your mindset.

I am a Nigerian who also moved to Canada on PR way back in 2006 and subsequently moved back to Nigeria in 2010.The benefit for seniors is a factor of your time spent in Canada this is a very key point-hence you would have 'contributed' less (having lived maybe +15 years before becoming a senior compared to someone who has lived all 65 years in Canada for example) and your benefits could be significantly depressed (it is not that high before). So it is important, even as a senior as much as you can to maintain or develop any businesses or sources of income in Nigeria/or home country to augment and make your stay easier.

One thing people shoud know is that canada has zero tolerance to age discrimination like some countries like Nigeria. In fact it's ilegal to deny someone employment because of his/her age. You can never see age limit in any job advert in canada as practised in Nigeria.

Sure , they can. You are only increasing your chances. It only means that both of you have to go thru the same process of getting WES and Language test - but if the fund is there, go for it.
