Another new destination, my first time to Canada! I wish I could have left the hotel and explored. However, the flight was so lovely and I enjoyed my layover snacks!

Get a Kathmandu down jacket from Aus for the cold destinations. They're lightweight but so warm with the down filling. And they roll up really small so won't take up much room in your suitcase.

You reminded me of those stressing wake up calls , jet lags specailly when you are flighing west i had problems with sleeping as well. Hope you enjoy your new car and get to see new places in the UAE.
The bigger the time zone difference, the more difficult it is to sleep normally! The job has some tough moments, but the travel is absolutely worth it! 🥰

We used to stay at the same hotel. Thank goodness for that Subway! Every time you'd go in there, you'd see another crew member also getting food haha
Haha aww that Subway has been a lifesaver for many!! Subway was my first proper job, I miss making my own sandwiches there 😂💕

North Americans really prefer drip coffee over instant. We feel like instant has a weird taste. I know when I travel and they have only the Nescafé packets I get kind of bummed. I guess it’s what we’re used to.

The city seems a bit far because lots of people are mislead that Pearson airport is in Toronto. It's located just west of Toronto in Mississauga.
Yep! Airports are generally a little away from cities, thanks for the info! Hopefully I'll visit again soon! 😊

Just watched one of your first videos. It is unfortunate that you could not leave the hotel, but it makes sense as we were just starting our 3rd lockdown. It is too bad that you could not go into Toronto and have a meal in a restaurant. However, if you come again and we are in lockdown again, ask the Front Desk about "Uber eats". You can order a meal from a restaurant and then have it delivered . There are a lot of restaurants in the area you stayed in. Maybe if you do come again, when you do go out take your friends too! 🙂

Another dry food to bring with you that comes in handy is granola. I often wonder why flight attendants never pack in granola? It can eaten dry, or paired with milk or yogurt. And most of all, it's very healthy. Do they have granola in Dubai?
Oh that's a good idea, yes we have granola! I don't really eat granola/oats though, I only like the crispy sweet ones - and then they aren't healthy anyway hahah 😊

Hi Junaid, they are two completely different positions, it depends what you’re interested in! Becoming a pilot is a much longer/more intense process. Work hard and find what you enjoy! 🥰
I flew this route (yyz departure) a few days after you. There was a really handsome cabin crew member, but not sure he’s into guys. He started my holiday on the right foot.

I do the exact same thing with Uber eats the lowest delivery fee has the higher prices on food and vice versa in short it all works out the same cost in the end yet l waste time scrolling. Hi from Melbourne Australia 👍

Did you get on the Airbus A380, or was it the 777-300 ER? If you didn't get on the Airbus A380, please ask to fly again on Emirates EK241/242. It's the best flight and the only flight to Canada operated by Emirates A380. When you do fly next time, let me know what time the estimated time of arrival is. Not to be creepy or anything, I just love watching Emirates A380-800. It just makes me so happy when I see it.

When you have layovers at hotels, do you not have the option to order food from the restaurant and get a roper meal which fills you so you are satisfied and are able to sleep? I follow another international flight attendant , she were in Thailand and got a well filling meal and were able to sleep.
Yes absolutely, it’s different in every hotel! Almost all hotels have room service, but because I eat mostly vegan, and I cook really nice salads etc. at home, I am unimpressed with the hotel veggie offerings and price compared to what I make.. if that makes sense? So then I end up eating random snacks 😂 Some places are great though! 😅
For me, usually if I have a big meal I don’t sleep well - I have a very sensitive tummy.
But sometimes with the job and time zones, sleeping is just difficult - normally when I am busy out exploring on layovers I am super tired, so then I sleep well in the hotels!
All bodies are different, I just can’t wait to be able to explore and eat in beautiful restaurants around the world again! 🙌🏼🥰
Can you tell me more about challenges with sleeping. Is it that you're mind is restless, or something else?
I think so, I tend to have a lot on my mind, and I procrastinate a lot! Plus time zones, flights wake me up, different food intake - it changes up the routine completely. And different bed/location!

You will be in a tricky situation! 😂 I don’t know anyone who has missed a return flight back from a layover. We have wakeup calls, and if someone’s missing they’ll know pretty quickly if they don’t answer!

Yes...his name was Dexter....He showed up at my house back in 2012 starving, obviously homeless and living on the streets...I adopted him, got him neutered and he was my baby until 2019 when he passed away from a blood clot...He was such a handsome boy and such a great cat. He was only about 8 or 9 years old when he passed.. I miss him dearly💖

I live in Vancouver too and am owned by two feral kitties that I adopted 7 years ago. They are a royal pain but I love them to bits. I have been to Toronto many times. It is a great city but too cold in the winter for this west coast girl.

Hey Ryan, many of my colleagues (both guys and girls) are from the US, yep! We all live/are based in Dubai, so they've moved here for the job. Ahh you can't really retire here to my knowledge - things it's tricky with visas etc. 🥰

You have to be at least 21 to apply, I applied at 22 and I'm glad I did! The process is different for everyone, for me from the open day to the day I moved to Dubai, there were around 3 months in between!
Hmm, good things: amazing travel, meeting people from all over the world, great company, Dubai is fun to live, job is always exciting and unique.
Bad things: Miss my family, difficult to have a pet, gets very hot in Dubai!
But for me, it's worth it! 🥰
