Hey Bobby just a interesting side note, I just got a Minerva today and it seems like Fans Hobby went back to that mold and fixed it. I saw a lot of people had issues with the early ones doors not tabbing to her legs well and mine sit perfectly fine, also the head isn't super hard to remove or plug on like I've seen complained about either. Nice to see their progress with the newer mold MIGHT be going back into the originals to fix them up (or maybe I just got the one flawless version)
Cool looking bot, priced nicely but I just don't have any attachment to this series. I'm impressed that the company seems to pay attention to feedback and make adjustments. Hopefully they'll get to the point where they can make something that works in my collection.
I keep getting these cause it's a good little $60 mp from a company I like and support. I feel like the black highlights would be better from the US version of the mold. Would you get a US deco of this figure for your masters display? Are you interested in their Hosehead offering?
I'm glad to see another company tackling characters I feel no one else is going to touch. The nitpicks of paint color on the headmaster IMHO are very minor. I don't think you made a big deal out of them, but those things don't bother me much if at all. I feel those can be solved with an airbrush and 10 minutes of your time. I am glad to see they re-worked the mold so it wasn't ROUND 3 of the same mold. I'm glad to hear that Minerva IYO is still the weakest, which means they are not going backwards with the mold. It's cool to see another iconic vehicle in the RX-7 with this Alt mode like the Porsche 959 in the other 2. Good little review. I think skipping the transformation was a misstep, but hey we're all human...lol. Till next time...
I was dubious of buying Athena after Bobby's review, but ended up liking her a lot. So as you can guess, I was waiting for this review and extra excited to receive this one :D Thanks a lot Bobby
I nearly bought this, as i thought Go Shuta (sp?) was the Japanese version of Siren (and sort of is). Apparently FH is also making a Siren, so I'll be in on that.
I just don't like giant parts hanging off arms without locking in. And I love Nightbeat, but I can't go there here. To be fair, at least the three molds are all repaints originally as well. Hell, people would be pissed if the Seekers were different.
