Thank you for showing us this video! I have been waiting all winter already for some of your 2017 impressions. I fished Mörrum for the first time last year with no success, but I fell in love with the river still! And i will return this year!
If I may suggest you need an older English rod, I bought a Hardy Delux 15’4” weight #10 when I started, over gunned for summer sometimes, but excellent for strong water and or bigger fish. Modern trendy rods are fun to fish with but don’t have the power, that’s true of quiet a few American and some European rods. All the best.
Nice video, good fishing day for sure . One question, when you can’t control the fish why not follow it down instead of staying in one place ? When we steelhead fish if we get a hot one we chase it , because as you know once they get in the strong current one of two things happen, they break off or you kill them . Thanks for sharing
Hi, Well, at my age it´s impossible to follow the fish here. It’s simply to tricky for me to wade safely and just behind the bend there’s very fast water and impossible for anyone to follow the fish. /John
Enjoyed that. Never caught a salmon but that video has whetted my appetite to go fly fishing. If only I could fly fish 🤔

Good fight .. But you need to be careful when you hold one hand above your handle, this can break a rod when you put pressure.
Beautiful fish well done

That was a really nice fish!
Out of curiosity, do you risk snapping your pole if you hold above the cork?
Possibly. I think the risk increases /John
Respect !.

Hej John, can you tell me where I find the Beach excatly? Looks like Vittskövle, but where there? Upper or Lower stretch?
Hi, Upper Vittskövle. Over the bridge at EON-stugan and then to the left about 50 m. /John
