NMSU Journeys: Zac Dallas

Zac Dallas is a cowboy, and he says a cowboy at its core is honest, hardworking and has a lot of integrity and respect. The Albuquerque native is studying general agriculture with a focus on wildlife and range science at New Mexico State University’s College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Science. Zac says he was always drawn to NMSU because of its strong alumni community. He said you could work for any ranch across the state and chances are they went to NMSU. Zac is a member of the rodeo team - a sport he describes as gritty and chaotic. However, when you are in time with the bronco, it feels like a rocking chair. Zac describes it as poetry in motion and bliss in the midst of chaos. Zac has a lot of goals for his life, and for him, trophies, buckles and winning is nice but it is not what matters most to him.
