As of Wednesday afternoon, Beryl remained a dangerous Category 4 hurricane as it encountered Jamaica with sustained winds of 140 mph. Beryl was moving west-northwestward at 18 mph. The eye passed less than 50 miles to the south of Kingston, Jamaica, which put part of Beryl's destructive eyewall near the southern coast of the island.
Factors affecting Beryl's intensity have been much warmer-than-historical-average waters and light breezes in the path of the hurricane through Tuesday night. When these breezes, known as wind shear, become strong, they can lead to the loss of wind intensity for an established tropical system.

Fabian , l have tour St.Ann and that parish has a lot of fallen trees. Because of the various mountains ranges that span the entire parish, St.Ann has the least damage. I so sorry for those that lost their roofs. Jamaica is a storm, and hurricane prune Island, we have to be prepared at all time. We have to get carpenters, that do their jobs,where roofing is concern. Roofs have 😂😂🎉to be more secure with enough nails and whatever material they use. Fabian, Beryl is a blessing in disguise. Those that don't have water will get water, the fruits that fell off the trees, if mature can be sold, there will be abundant of roast bread fruits to be sold. Don't worry too much, that's nature. Beryl hit Texas but I don’t think it’s half as serious as Jamaica, it was category 1 at Texas coast line and tropical storm on the other areas of Texas.
