Here is the feedback from trying the Reolink Trackmix PoE
    Packaging
[Positive] The Styrofoam is good, and protects both top and bottom.
    Included tools
[Positive] The mouting guide is the full size of the mount.
[Neutral] There are not any screwdrivers included
The physical part of the camera
[Positive] The camera house is made out of strong metal.
[Negative] The camera mount is made out of plastic.
[Negative] It is hard to reach the screws while mounting.
[Suggestion] make a separate mounting bracket, like the Reolink Duo has.
[Negative] There is no lens protection, while installing.
[Negative] The DC inlet is not waterproof.
[Negative] Waterproof is not large enough for some RJ45 connectors.
[Negative] The initiate QR code is hard to read when mounted.
The software part of the camera
[Positive] FTPS can now be enforced, please include this functionality on all models.
[Negative] The default config records any motion, and quickly fill up the SDCARD.
[Negative] It is very hard to find the zoomed camera in the webinterface.
[Negative] You cannot see both cameras in the webinterface in the same browser window.
[Negative] The motor starts and stops too rapid, and shakes and makes noise.
    Conclusion
Reolink Trackmix PoE is an affordable camera with PTZ and tracking functionality. The hardware is well build, but the physical installation could have been made easier. It takes a while to learn its functionality.

These cameras should have a 360 degree motion sensor to pick up movement not in the cameras field of view so the camera can detect everything possible.
Also I've installed a few Reolinks and I use a Makita A-96883 Impactx #2 6" but which is nice and skinny to help keep it as close to the camera body as possible when mounting it.
A right angled adapter for an impact driver also really helps a lot sometimes.

Would be possible to make a hole in the ceiling and leave only the black part of the camera outside to reduce the footprint ? I mean, would be possible to mount it inside the drywall ceiling leaving only the black part outside ? would it work ? Thanks

I see nothing that prevents you from making such an installation.

Det kommer an op hvad du vil. Trackmix optager både et overblik og zoom. 823A har kun zoom. Men bedre.

Hi, is there any good way to display a couple of trackmix cameras into an ipad at once ? i would like to use the ipad (12 inch) as a smart home display on my wall. Thanks

You need an app that can display 4 rtsp steams at once, or you need a PC to combine the streams to one.

I can't speak for this specific camera but the Reolink app does allow for viewing multiple cameras at once.

Will this record continuously or only when it detects events? I have a trackmix with a solar panel but it doesn’t always get what is moving so I need something that is 24/7 recording

    • @PerMejdal
      @PerMejdal  Год назад +1

There is not difference between the PoE and wireless in this regard. If you need continuously recording, you need to install a NVR.

@@PerMejdal how would I connect my Wi-Fi trackmix to a nvr?

Never mind I see there are three different ones and mine technically is battery/solar panel so I don’t think mine can

Hvorfor har du fået sådan en?

Når man når en hvis størrelse på RUclips begynder firmaer at tilbyde produkter til tests. Jeg er også blevet tilbudt mobiltelefoner og bog-scannere.
