  • BREAKING: Femke Bol Makes EXCITING Announcement About The 2024 Olympics..
    Winning a race is every athlete’s goal. After all, that’s the entire essence of the sport, isn’t it? No one - absolutely no one - would like to be crossing the finish line last. In fact, even podium winners - bronze and silver medallists, that is - are sometimes disappointed for not getting gold. Because of this, they all train very hard and #FemkeBol is no exception.
    While a medal, preferably gold, is enough for them to rejoice and for the exhaustion brought about by months of hard training to seep off their tensed bodies, monetary prizes are very much welcomed as well.
    As you all know, the Dutch #trackandfield sprinter recently concluded her Indoor season with an absolute bang! Well, we really shouldn’t expect any less from someone who was awarded as the female athlete of the year last season.

    You're out of luck Sydney decided to run on the hurdles!

  • @rientsdijkstra4266
    @rientsdijkstra4266 Месяц назад +6

    Fundamental fact that many people forget: Bol only started on the hurdles in 2019 (!!). In other words, when she got the Bronze in Tokio in 2021 Bol had only two years of experience on the hurdles compared to McLaughlin who started in 2016 and thus already had 5 years of training and experience on the hurdles in 2021. That is a massive difference. Yet in 2023 - a few months after changing to the 14 step stride - Bol already ran a 51.45 in London which would have won a gold in Tokio... I am not saying that Bol has already caught up with McLaughlin, because that remains to be seen when McLaughlin finaly decides to run again, but it does put another light on all those people who shout that Bol will never catch up with McLaughlin... I am really interested what a confrontation between the two will bring, but I am afraid there will be none...

      How can you ask that question when Sydney has the world record which is .77s faster than Bol’s pb? She’s no way near where Sydney already went. Until Bol can dip under 51 seconds and come close to Sydney’s WR, there’s no real competition atm. And that’s no shade to Bol who has a lot of talent. But Sydney time is still far beyond what Bol has demonstrated! She’s damn near an entire minute behind.

      @@BlackLightningLove Euhm.... Which of the numbers don't you understand? Mrs McLaughlin, Tokio, 2021, 7 years after starting hurdling: 51.46, Bol, London, 2023 (after 4 years), 51.45 = 0.01 faster than McLaughlin in Tokio. What is there not to understand about this? The message is very simple: McLaughlin has that WR, but Bol is developing fast, and getting closer to mrs McLaughlin...
      -=-=-
      And Secondly: mrs McLaughlin has that 50.68, but her 2nd best time is a 51.41, which is hardly faster than Bol's 51.45. So again. Mrs McLaughlin still has the advantage, but it is a lot smaller than you Americans seem to think.
      -=-=-
      So lets see what transpires this summer in Paris....

      @@BlackLightningLove ??? 0.77 of a second = "damn near an entire minute (??) behind"...??. Bro you live in CLOUD CUCKOO LAND. The whole race doesn't even take a minute... 🤣🤣🤡

      51.45 is far from 50.68, and Sydney progress again!

    • @rientsdijkstra4266
      @rientsdijkstra4266 10 дней назад

      @@virgilius7036 Simple arithmetic: mrs McLaughlin 2nd best is 51.41, mrs McLaughlins PB: 50.68 -> step is 0.73, Femke Bol: PB = 51.45. + last year she made a step of 0.85. So it is clear that they BOTH are able to make such improvement steps. Lets just wait and see how each of their progress has been this year.

    Track money prizes are a joke! So the absolute best women's track star wins $40,000 or $50,000 a few times a year is chicken feed compared to champions in other sports. Yes, a few get endorsement money, but most track stars would make more money and have a much longer career by becoming kindergarten teachers.

    I am afraid Sydney is the strongest.I don’t no if Femke runs 400 m hurdle and 400 m flat . I hope she wins 2 medals the color I think is silver or bronze.offcourse I hope on a miracle and she wins gold 🤩.the 4x400 m I think 1 USA 2 Jamaica and hopefully 3 the Netherlands what is amazingly for such little country. ❤.femke always said if she run a technical good race and Sydney is better she can live with place 2 or 3 .
    May the best one win. But in my dreams hope still Femke for gold 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼also succes wishing for Sydney

      @francescostano4445 Месяц назад +9

      Bol is faster in 400 flat, in 400 hurdles she is closing the gap and McLaughlin has to run near to the world record to beat her now. So it's not a miracle if she wins gold

    • @QuamfyMarc
      @QuamfyMarc Месяц назад +2

      @@francescostano4445They are very close on both events I believe. If Sydney is able to run sub 51s again on 400mh on trials or pre Olympic than she is favorit. But will Sydney run 400mh in Paris?

    • @francescostano4445
      @francescostano4445 Месяц назад +3

      @@QuamfyMarc if McLaughlin can come back to the 2022 form then she is still a bit faster on 400 hurdles, that's because of her hurdling technique which is still clearly better than Bol's. But in terms of speed in 400 McLaughlin is not faster

    • @QuamfyMarc
      @QuamfyMarc Месяц назад +3

      @@francescostano4445 True but Sydney is more sprinter so first 200m still faster. But last 200m Femke has more edurance speed. 500m Femke wins but 400m very close. Based on Indoor WR Femke should pass her just before finish like last 4x400 women Worlds final.

    • @francescostano4445
      @francescostano4445 Месяц назад +4

      @@QuamfyMarc I think Bol can run from 48.2 to 48.5, McLaughlin from 48.4/48.5 to 48.7. Of course McLaughlin is still faster on 200 but Bol really improved her speed, 22.64 indoors means she can run like 22.1/22.2 outdoor which is a very good time for 200m, that's why she has become so strong in 400m
