Thank you, Emma and Jillian. This was a really unique offering and I so enjoyed the conversation. I hope to be able to paint like both of you someday. For now, I have fun and enjoy the process. Thank you for your inspiration and encouragement.
It’s so great to see two of my favorite artists get together and “talk” and paint! It’s inspiring to see them go through many ups and downs in their lives and still keep this positivity spreading to so many people! You both are amazing both in your art work and as super beautiful women/moms juggling your lives between so many activities! Thank you for sharing your experiences!
My older sister and I use to paint “together”. Each FaceTiming on our phones and the computer running on a video we both agreed to paint. We talked about family and friends. We talked about the painting videos we saw and whose style we wanted to try next. Those were fun days. And this collaboration with Jillian has that same feeling. Thank you both!
Gorgeous paintings! I really loved hearing the conversation. And I definitely resonated with you Emma when you talked about how it felt like you lost your identity because everything you did revolved around your kiddo. Early motherhood is so challenging and exhausting. I loved it so much and yet once I found watercolor, it sparked a different, creative joy in me that I never knew existed before. Anyway thank you so much again for this video and conversation!
It was wonderful to see you two together, aside from your art, as Moms supporting each other! Now as artists, thank you for sharing you journeys individually in your watercolor growth and style. And BTW, you could send me that sweet Miles for a snuggle anytime , he is absolutely adorable
I really enjoyed watching you two paint while talking about how your style evolved. While on Debbie Walker's channel she mentioned Jillian, so I checked out her channel. There a so many wonderful artists out there, and l pick up lots of tips. Alas, I am still struggling, but I forge ahead and paint!!
I loved your magnolias! At the start they didn’t look like much but with the layering magic, they came so alive! Loved your talks about motherhood, I can relate… I used to be fast at everything, now after 3 boys, I’m so slow at everything! Except dishes LOL Currently I’m in a pencil drawing phase, and I can say it’s done the same, taking more time allows for better values and fresher eyes to correct proportions and shapes.
Yes I’m suffering PTSD from work place Permanently Sustained Injuries both physically & emotionally . Water colour is A Welcomed distraction for when a flash backs Home over me 😣😐😏

I haven’t read all of the comments…but am I the only one in awe that you both can chat and make such beautiful paintings? So lovely!
I love what you both said about finding a creative outlet when you most need an escape, that's exactly what I felt ❤

I have no artistic talent really, but I’m obsessed with watercolor painting. I’ll keep trying! Love your flowers.

Both paintings were beautiful in their own way! I hope to someday be able to do something similar in my own way 😍

At the bottom of the video, what flower book are you looking at, i love the sketches and colors.
What is the flower book you are flicking through?

Can you share the floral book resource?
